Welcome to our latest search for a Scout Picks Community Champion. Here’s a reminder of how this works. As part of our revamped Scout Picks, Mark, myself, Paul and a community champion picked by you each week are up against each other. All four teams are then used to decide our final weekly Scout Picks.

We are now looking for Gameweek 22’s Scout Picks Community Champion to represent you and get one over on The Scouts as well as be in with a chance of winning a special prize. The champion who manages the best Gameweek score (or best score from the first ten matches in a double Gameweek) will win a £100 Amazon voucher.

To put yourself forward simply add in your Gameweek 22 Scout Picks. Foreveryone else please upvote the poster you would like to represent you based on their picks.

We only need 11 picks and please be mindful of budget, which has now been increased to 84m. There’s no captain in the picks either and please stick to a designated FPL formation, including no more than three players from one team.

I’ll leave this vote open until 10am tomorrow (Tuesday) when I will announce the winner, who I will then ask to send over his/her final picks plus 200 word explanation to me at jonty@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk by 5pm Thursday January 15.

Any attempts to disrupt the voting process may lead to the team involved being removed at our discretion. Also the comment section below is for those who want to present their teams and vote. If you have any suggestions on how the Scout Picks can be improved further next year please email me rather than leave a comment below.

I will try this one more time:

    Heaton

    Bertrand - Baines - Cresswell

    Chadli - Downing - Hazard - Sanchez

    Aguero - Kane - Ings

    Team value: 81.8mil.

Think I'll have a crack at this, think my reputation on the site is improving so here goes:

    Adrian

    Baines Trippier Rose

    Sterling Eriksen Hazard Mirallas

    Costa Aguero Ings

    - Adrian in goal against a goal-shy Hull

    - All pf Baines, Trippier and Rose have good home fixtures with the potential for attacking returns

    - Sterling is nice and refreshed from his holiday and playing Villa who have Vlaar and Clark both out, Eriksen plum fixture, Hazard is a beast and I fancy Mirallas to play after coming off the bench against City to add more creativity in the Everton midfield

    - Costa is consistent and Swansea have been conceding alot lately, Aguero will start vs Arsenal and I think most have predicted a goal-fest, will only get 60 minutes and fancy Ings to carry on his great record at home especially Mr Vokes being back to supply.

I have doubled up on WHM defence who face a Hull side that has blanked in 9 of their last 13 league outings. Baines has returned 2 assists in the last three and has a favourable home fixture. Liverpool face a Villa side that have not scored in the last 4 and Skrtel is a bonus point magnet.

Di Maria was the furthest advanced United player in their last league encounter and faces a QPR side against whom in the reverse fixture the Argentine scored a goal and collected an assist in a 4-0 win. Downing is central to WHM attacking play and Sterling should be raring to go after his recent rest. Sanchez is becoming ever increasingly dependable to return the points even in the toughest fixtures.

Kane and Ings are both budget strikers with form and fixtures on their side. Aguero was formidable before injury and looks set to return the starting line-up against Arsenal. (In case Aguero is not fit for arsenal, Diego Costa is more than an able deputy)

I'll throw my hat into the ring for the first time also...

    Heaton

    Cresswell - Baines - Bertrand

Fabregas - Noble - Di Maria - Chadli

    Kane - Costa - Aguero

Heaton GK - think burnley will keep palace out, but not without a few saves in there for good measure.

    - Defence of Berty, Baines and Cresswell. All for attacking returns and BAP potential, along with Baines penalty shadow.

MF of Fabregas, noble, Chadli and ADM for nice fixtures (for the most part) and i can see a good return across the board for them. Noble being on PK for West Ham certainly helps his argument against an easy and sometimes scrappy side. ADM for QPR and Chadli because of form - going hand in hand with Kane.

Which leads me onto the front 3.

Costa to tie up with Fabregas, Aguero because of who he is and Kane for the unstoppable form along with Chadli as the assister.

    Cheers all.

The trick, Adam, is to use a coherent quote, thus:

      "Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our English dead!
In peace there’s nothing so becomes a man,
      As modest stillness and humility;
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger:
Stiffen the sinews, conjure up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favoured rage:
      Then lend the eye a terrible aspect;
Let it pry through the portage of the head,
Like the brass cannon;" - Henry V, Act III.

"The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars,
But in ourselves, that we are underlings." - Caesar, Act I.

First time poster here - so lets see how this goes.

    Adrian - 5.0

    Baines 7.1, Skrtel 5.8, Ivanovic 7.2,

    Sanchez 11.4, Hazard 10.7, Chadli 6.5, Downing 6.5

    Aguero 12.4, Kane 5.8, Ings 5.6

    Value - Exactly 84M

Adrian - at home vs a Hull side short on confidence
Baines - due a pen, looked better vs City, home vs West Brom
Skrtel - Playing lowest scorers in the league plus attacking threat
Ivanovic - One of only 2 nailed Che defenders plus attacking threat
Chadli - Nice looking home fixture vs Sunderland
Downing - On form, nice fixture vs Hull
Hazard - Missed out on points last GW but looked threatening, expect to deliver
Sanchez - Despite difficult fixture is Arsenal's main man, plus 6-3 last year, expect goals
Aguero - definite punt, but he loves big games, and I expect him to start
Kane - First name on the sheet with current form
Ings - Nice home fixture vs Palace and coming into form

Looking forward to bagging some votes,
    Cheers

You chose Stones vs Berahino so unsure why that interests you?

Swansea with no Bony, and Chelsea play deeper away and hit on counter, would say good chance of CS.

Downing has been on fire lately, how can you ignore him at 6.5 against a Hull side lacking in confidence, I know a fair few people considering him for captaincy this week.

Surprised you've gone for ADM this week when his chances of playing 90 mins seem limited and, as a United fan too, we were generally awful all over vs Southampton.

          Value

You think that all their goals come from Bony?

His underlying stats have fallen like a stone: he is better away.

Perhaps you were watching a different game. His form is rising fast.

          1. brooksyp
            • 10 Years
            10 years, 11 months ago

I dont think all their goals come from Bony, but he was top scorer in 2014 for the PL for a reason.

Did you see Di Maria's stats, here's a summary for you of his second half performace:

            55% pass accuracy
            0/3 shots on target
            0 take-ons
            0/4 crosses completed
            0 key passes.

Yeah, he's really hitting form. Like I said, I am a Man U fan, so funnily enough I watched the match, and him being played up front actually doesn't benefit United, he needs to be facing the goal, driving at defenders!

You say value regarding Stones, I say value, form, and fixture regarding Downing!

    Berahino(EVE)5.6, Kane(SUN)5.8, Agüero(ARS)12.5 … 83.2

    Adrain - Hull no strikers
Trippier - About to pile on assists
    Sktel - Villa can't score, set-piece threat
Bertrand - Saint's solis, Bertrand a forward threat
Sanchez - A menace in any fixture
Hazard - beginning to chalk up the points away from the Bridge
Downing - Assist machine, goal threat, highest BAPS in the game
Di Maria - blew off cobwebs vs Saints, should ignite vs QPR
    Berahino - in-form, Everton's defence shaky
Kane - Too direct for Sunderland's slow rearguard
Aguero - Could announce his return vs Arsenal who struggle against top teams

    Lloris (SUN)
Coleman (WBA) - Cresswell (HUL) - Trippier (CP)
Sanchez (MC) - Haz (swa) - Di Maria (qpr) - Downing (HUL)
Costa (swa) - Kane (SUN) - Ings (CP)

    83.5m...

For def i picked players that have nice fixtures (SUN,HUL,WBA,CP), and beside that they have great attacking potential... I expect at least 2 cs + 1 goal or 2 ass from them...

In mid we go with 3 premium players... 2 best mids this season, and one punty (Di Maria)... If he starts in same position like last game i expect him to score vs bad qpr def... Last spot is reserved for Downing, with Carroll in form i can see some nice set pieces transformed to goals...

In att we go with one constant threat Costa, one in form striker capable of big hauls Kane, and one punt with great fixture who scored in his last two matches...

    Cheers...

    Forster

    Bertrand - Terry - Skrtel

    Sanchez - Hazard - Chadli - Tadic

    Aguero - Kane - Berahino

    83.5

Saints double defense is definitely worth risking, especially against a Pardewless Newcastle.

Terry is still Chelsea's number 1 choice defender.

Skrtel collected three clean sheets in the last six games, plus a goal and a few BPS.

Sanchez and Hazard don't need explanation.

Chadli got another assist after a major haul against Chelsea.

Tadic looks more of a credible option now than he was when everybody was going crazy for him months ago. Two assists, two goals and 30 points in the last five games in which he played 90 minutes only once.

Kun doesn't need explanation at all and right now he's a bit of a differential.

    Kane is phenomenal.

Berahino seems to have found his way back to the goal thanks to Pulis; two goals in the last two games, 18 points with 3BPS collected in both games and he definitely doesn't have to fear Everton's defense.

Another shot at this! Vote if you're feeling it!

    Adrian
    Cresswell - Trippier - Skrtel
Di Maria - Chadli - Hazard - Sanchez
    Ings - Austin - Aguero

Adrian & Cresswell - Happy to double up here, Hull at home is pretty tasty for returns.
Trippier - Still creating plenty chances, have a feeling he'll have a good day at home against CPL.
Skrtel - Attacking threat, BAPS potential, Villa.
Di Maria - Perfect opportunity vs QPR to remind us what he is capable of.
Chadli - Great form, great match up at home.
Hazard & Sanchez - Found it hard to leave out either of these machines, always dangerous.
Ings - Trippier to Ings x 2 this weekend.
Austin - Top scoring forward, can provide returns against most teams.
Aguero - What can I say? He's the man.

    Cheers.

    = 79.8

Heaton - Fancy a cleanie vs palace
Skrtel - Cleanie vs villa. If benteke scores this week I'll quit fpl
Terry - Goal threat + cleanie
ADM - Coming into form + easy fixture
    Haz - Form + pens
Chadli - Form + fancy spurs at home to sunderland
Downing - Easyish fixture at home
    Ageruo - Aguero
Crouch - My 2 week punt. Fancy him as a differential
    Austin - Form + pens

It is half way through the season. If you aren't top of the table, you need differential points.

    Guzan
    Trippier-Bertrand-Terry
    Chadli-Sanchez-ADM-Downing-Hazard
    Kane-Aguero

All of the mids have wonderful opportunities this game week. Austin's form is looking down recently and hoping there is not a penalty, I think he blanks this week.

    Forster

    Baines Cresswell Terry

    Silva Hazard Downing Chadli

    Aguero Ings Kane

    TV - 81.6 M

Forster - In form tight Southampton defence

Baines - Looks much better recently. Good fixture at home to WBA. On set-pieces.
Cresswell - Against a hapless Hull at home. Offers points at both ends of the pitch.
Terry - Most nailed on CHE defender with goal threat.

Silva - Great form and main man for City atm,
Hazard - Suffered a blip against Newc. Been in great form otherwise.
Downing - Very consistent scorer and against a very suspect Hull defence.
Chadli - Been in great form since his return. Always involved. Good fixture at home.

Aguero, Kane & Ings - All pick themselves really. Good form and consistent goal scoring and all have good fixtures.
