Double Gameweek 28 for QPR and Spurs Confirmed

The Premier League have confirmed the first double Gameweek of the season earlier this afternoon. QPR’s home clash against Spurs, which was originally scheduled for Sunday March 1, has been cancelled due to the latter’s progress to the Capital One Cup Final on the same day.

The date has now been moved to Saturday March 7, with both clubs already out of the FA Cup. This means that QPR and Spurs have a blank Gameweek 27 but then follow this up with a double Gameweek 28 – Spurs will host Swansea on Wednesday, March 4, before heading to Loftus Road three days later, whilst the R’s entertain Arsenal prior to playing host to their north London rivals.

Today’s news may persuade non-Tottenham owners to steer clear for now. Mauricio Pochettino’s side face West Brom, Arsenal, Liverpool and West Ham in the next four and with a blank to follow their Hammers showdown, it may well be that we turn our attentions away from the likes of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Nacer Chadli until Gameweek 28, when the fixtures take a turn for the better.

Charlie Austin’s short-term prospects are also questionable. The travel-sick R’s face three road trips in four (sto, SOT, sun, hul) before their blank, and whilst his home clashes with Arsenal and Spurs may deter some, it’s worth noting he’s notched against four of the top five already this season and can clearly deliver regardless of fixture.

Could be good, depends on your coverage elsewhere. Though i've heard/read that cazorla's spot may be threatened down the road by ozil and walcott returning

Yes, but we don't yet know when.

It could be GW28 if Leicester lose to Villa in the 5th round of the FA Cup, otherwise it will be later.

gonna be leaving the armband on Alexis.

Thanks. So if we can just bench a player say kane for GW 27, it will be a bonus to play him in GW 28 right?

    Choose one:

    A. Costa > Giroud (or a punt?)
    B. Costa + Tomkins(doubtful) > Giroud + Kosc (-4)

Fabregas has been in my team since the beginning, but seems like have to sell him. what do you think of these transfers?

    Fab + Boyd -> Caz + Maria/Eriksen (for -4)

Other mids are Hazard, Sanchez and downing and Terry in my defense.

    What do you people suggest?

    Thanks in advance.

I really don't know where to go with this team if Costa is suspended, what's moves would make first? Already made my FT on Jones in for Debuchy and WC played early 🙁

    Pants
    Cahill Bertrand Jones
    Sanchez** Chadli * Hazard ADM
    Costa ** Aguero Kane

    Heaton Boyd PVA Wisdom

Help needed fellas might have to go -8 to short out this mess

Your bench is sufficient to cover for this week. At best you can ship Costa -> Giroud for a hit.

Sanchez will be back next week. Chadli will play this week, else you can sort that out next week.

A wildcard team for you to (be)rate, if you'd be so kind...

    Foster // 4.0
Bertrand Gardos wisdom // Baird wasilewski
    Sanchez hazard cazorla Walcott Oscar
    Falcao Sturridge // Barnes

    NB

I'm aware that this isn't like most teams on the site. I know that Walcott, sturidge and even Sanchez are doubts for this weekend. I realise that tripling up on WBA defence is a gamble, as is triple ARS midfield, double SOU defence and double CHE midfield, and that poor Radamel hasn't been to hit a bailiff with a badger. I know these things, but I like playing this game, and see this wildcard as a perfect opportunity to boost my mediocre rank. Thank you, I would love to hear your thoughts

Okay - I wholeheartedly agree with triple WBA defence (a very worthwhile differential with a low downside if it doesn't come off) and the double CHS midfield I agree with too even though Oscar needs to be Fabregas if fit.

Foster needs to be with Pants.

I don't like the triple ARS - they are not reliable enough yet.

Falcao and Barnes - don't see any value in these two.

Full marks for the courageous picks but too many punts for my liking.

      5/10.
