Team Profiles & Comparison Tool Preview Movie

Last week we launched a couple of brand new features in our Members Area – Team Profiles and the Team Comparison Tool.

We’ve felt for a long time that, while our tools provided in-depth analysis of player performance, often as Fantasy managers, we needed a similar view of how teams as a whole are performing.

The Team Profiles were the first step. These allow you to view a team’s data in detail and slice by any Gameweek interval – including the Last Four Gameweeks, Last Six Gameweeks, Home and Away or any specified Gameweek range.

Alongside the host of team statistics provided on the profile, we’ve also added to our arsenal of statistical maps, plotting the location of events on the pitch. Using these you can examine the occurrences of events such as Chances Created and Fouls Won to analyse the attacking patterns of terms. Similarly, you can flip these charts and assess any weaknesses in a team’s make-up by, for example, examining where chances are being conceded.

We’ve also included player data on the profiles so, when you choose a team to analyse, you can scroll down and view all the players that contribute to the Gameweek range you’re currently viewing for that team. This is a very effective way of assessing a team’s defensive qualities whilst, in the same screen, scanning their squad for the defenders who perhaps offer the most creativity and threat in attacking areas.

Having set up these profiles, we then extended our Comparison Tool to include them. Like the Player Comparison Tool, this enables you to assess two teams over a given Gameweek period and gain an immediate appraisal of how they compare. While this is useful for head-to-head comparisons, you can also use it to compare the same team over two different intervals to perhaps assess how they have progress or regressed in certain areas. We used this to compile our recent Technical Area article on Liverpool’s recent progress here.

Both these additions are live and available to our members.

Half-season memberships are still available for just £10. These will take up to the end of the season and expire on June 1. Click here for more details on how to register or upgrade.

In the meantime, here’s a movie we put together to preview the new features in use.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I lole the look of this data. Ideal for helping us determine a captain; matching their characteristics against their opposition

I'd like to see how spurs match up against west ham. West Ham are going through a bad phase

For those who wrecked their teams in the WC.

The nightmare when we choose players for their 2 match week and they do not play the 2nd.

This is another point to consider when looking at enabling more DGWers vs fielding 11 players in GW27. Risk is inherent in these DGW strategies.
Of course the captain needs to be a nailed-on **** DGWer 100%.

Kompany, Silva and Aguero two years ago...all rested for the second game....Who'd ever have predicted that....I had them all.

True. That is what makes me hesitant to taking hits for these players...

But do not want to miss out on their tasty potential double hauls too! What to do?

It's a problem...To add fuel to the fire, last season a lot of the popular players taken out in exchange for DGW players had a really good week...Lallana, Snodgrass and co...We'd have been better off keeping a lot of the picks as SGW players.

I wasn't aware of that stat from last season.
Now you have put me in an even greater dilemma!

Also, if we keep 3 of the same team, lets say Haz Fab/Terry and Costa for some.

For those who do not have a WC to play anymore later, the teams will be saddled with players from same clubs who cannibalize each others points.

This is a small consideration but an underlying fact which will go unnoticed as nobody knows what they have missed out.

Chadli will be a waste, he will play once. Eriksen will play 2

Chadli and Dembele have rotation writ large...

Same thought here. Somewhere I read that Eriksen is the midfielder covering the most distance in the league this year.. by that metric he should be nailed on 100% for both games. As is Kane because he is still very young and has the energy for it.

I guess Kane is the captain for the DGW for 100% of those who own him?

    1) Start Foster or Panti? Planned to start PvA

    2) Assuming Austin starts, play him or > Giroud with 1FT? Already have Walcott and Sanchez

Ayoze is about to fall for the third time since I got him (3-5-2) and he hasn't even got an assist yet 😆

Which is probably why he keeps falling but as he is benched most weeks I can't afford to get rid. Hope he comes in useful for the blank (AVL)

now when Leicester is gone from FA Cup, is it possible that Chelsea have DGW 7-8 march just like Spurs? it means GW 28 will be double

I guess more ppl than me are struggeling with gw27- 28. How do you guys solve this, and then who would you get before gw28?

As far as i have read the majority of managers will bench Kane + their chelsea cover in gw 27 (haz, terry, ivan) and then take a hit to get Eriksen and Verthongen/Rose/ Lloris or Dembele for gw 28.

This is the best plan as i see it now, but gw 27 will become a nightmare with only 9-10 starting players.

I've got Wisdom and Lucas (dont ask) on the bench, and with kane, terry and hazard on the bench as well in gw 27, ill only field 9 players.

    Should i do:
    A) Wisdom --> Dawson, Bellerin or Wollschied
    B) Lucas --> someone cheep and nailed on
    C) Save ft
    D) Puncheon -> Mane
