Romelu Lukaku remains a doubt as Everton prepare for the trip to Swansea, who could be without Jefferson Montero through injury. Laurent Koscielny is set for a late test before Arsenal’s visit of Burnley. Joe Ledley is doubtful for Palace’s clash with Sunderland, whilst Tim Sherwood is still sweating over the fitness of several players ahead of Villa’s visit to White Hart Lane.
Roberto Martinez has admitted that Romelu Lukaku remains “50-50” to face Swansea, as he struggles to overcome a hamstring complaint. Bryan Oviedo and Tony Hibbert are still sidelined, while the Spaniard also expects to be without Aiden McGeady as he battles with a back problem.
Swansea themselves are sweating on the hamstring injury to winger Jefferson Montero, who faces a late fitness test. Kyle Bartley and Leon Britton have however been passed fit, and are available for the weekend.
Laurent Koscielny will have a late fitness test to determine his availability against Burnley, after limping out of the win against Liverpool with a thigh injury. Elsewhere, Arsene Wenger has received a big boost with the news that Jack Wilshere, Mathieu Debuchy, Abou Diaby and Mikel Arteta are all back in contention to face the Clarets.
Alan Pardew has revealed that Joe Ledley is the Eagles only concern going into the meeting with Sunderland. The midfielder has a hip strain and will be monitored ahead of the weekend. The Welshman could be replaced by Mile Jedinak, who is available after serving a four-match ban.
Andrew Robertson and James Chester are both fit and available for Hull’s trip to Southampton, Steve Bruce has confirmed. Curtis Davies misses out again with a thigh problem.
Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has ruled Filip Djuricic out of the visit of Hull with an ankle injury. Meanwhile, Steven Davis and Florin Gardos will return to the squad after missing last weekend’s defeat to Everton.
Nigel Pearson has confirmed that Dean Hammond and Matt Upson have both resumed full training this week, as the Foxes prepare for the clash with West Brom.
Alan Hutton (ankle) Ashley Westwood and Scott Sinclair (both hamstring) all remain big doubts ahead of Tim Sherwood’s reunion with Spurs. Sherwood has also admitted that Aly Cissokho and Carles Gil will both be assessed before the weekend, while Libor Kozak remains unavailable despite featuring for the reserves in midweek.
Sean Dyche will welcome back Matt Taylor for the weekend visit of Arsenal, with the midfielder finally over the Achilles problem that has plagued his season up till now. In more good news, Dyche is optimistic that both Ross Wallace and Steven Reid will be available to face the Gunners.
