Gameweek 2 gets us up and running earlier than usual tonight, as Villa welcome United to the midlands.

Both sides opened their seasons with 1-0 wins and Tim Sherwood will be seeking home improvements, having managed just one home clean sheet at Villa Park since taking the helm. Captain Poll favourite Wayne Rooney, meanwhile, looks to improve upon a record that saw him score just once outside of Old Trafford in 2014/15.

United roll up to Villa Park for their first away game of the season having struck just 21 goals in their 19 road trips under Louis van Gaal last term, registering a shot on goal every 8 minutes. They’ll be up against a Villa rearguard that kept just four clean sheets in front of their own fans last term, shipping 25 goals – only Crystal Palace kept fewer shutouts than the midlanders.

Having failed to ignite against Spurs, Van Gaal will look to his attacking players to perform tonight, providing a test to Sherwood’s rearguard following their opening day success at Bournemouth.

Only positives were Mata, obviously the win and three points and, once again, Darmian. However Schneiderlin seems solid also, nothing to get excited about, but adds that little bit of solidity at the back. He hasn't added the jest I hoped for in attack though. Smalling has also really impressed me in the first two games, seems to have matured and improved greatly, good to see. Memphis has been disappointing, it's obviously a greater step up than he imagined and will take time to settle and learn. He seems tense and trying to hard to impress actually.

This. Always turned and a side pass or backpass rather than one touch pass forward.

Really disappointing 30 mins from Harera as well. Absolutely no creativity, slowed down everything, no ambition whatsoever in terms of putting in balls, always looking sideways.. Tut tut

Rooney is a streaky player. He is obviously on a bad streak. Time to sell him and not consider him again until he scores in consecutive games.

So happy to be a Mané captain owner but I still won't take Rooney out my team until Newcastle, if he bottles in that game then goodbye Rooney

If he starts over Morgan or Carrick then that solidity at the back is gone. Either this or that.

Manchester United have a Champions League fixture in midweek as well. May want to wait for that to decide... But surely more incentive to drop Rooney?

Is this year's united Chelsea's defence from last year? I mean I always thought Schneiderlin was the best CDM in the world, but I didn't think he would adapt as quickly as he has. I will definitely be going for some UTD coverage at the back, if not doubling up on them. Also, Chris Smalling might just well be worth that extra 0.5 over the likes of Shaw and Darmian. He looks to be a bonus point magnet, as well as an aerial threat going forward. Any one else agree? Any extra thoughts?

Fuming about my mate captaining Mata, be nearing 20 pts alone after tonight, including Shaw's CS, it's not looking great. Rooney's straight out my team soon... I'll give him one more chance v Newcastle at home. Mane to do the biz tomorrow. (c) Don't let me down.
