We delve into the Gameweek 3 data this evening in our first members article of the week. Up front, we assess Bournemouth, Chelsea and Liverpool’s lone forwards, whilst there’s plenty to analyse in the centre of the park, as we take a look at some standout statistics from Villa, Palace, United, West Ham and Norwich.
-
Butland (Boruc )
Kolorov / Gomez / Azpi (Shaw & Cameron)
Yaya / Shaqiri / Mahrez / Pedro (Redmond)
Agüero / Benteke / Wilson
WC team, any advice is appreciated!-
Costa for aguero
Kolorov for smalling
Yaya for coutinho-
Trolol.
-
That's quite amusing.
-
Famous last words.
-
-
-
WC Active, good team?
Myhill / McCarthy
Darmian / Kolarov / Gomez / Cameron / Targett
Sanchez / Silva / Pedro / Mahrez / Anya
Aguero / Gomis / Wilson-
Solid template team. You could get Yaya for Silva and upgrade Targett and McCarthy. Could also backfire, but I prefer definite starters...
-
What will you do when Foster, Speroni, Bertrand are back?
-
Could do Silva to Yaya & McCarthy & Targett to Martin & Guzan?
-
Easier to do that now. But not sure on Guzan.
-
-
-
Sanchez --> willian
Aguero--> costa-
Surely a troll?
-
-
-
Whom to get for Depay?
Coutinho or Yaya (have Kun as well).
I'd personally prefer Coutinho due to his explosiveness but Liverpool have just scored twice this season which points to Yaya...-
No points to Liverpool scoring sooner
-
Depay I'd say.
-
Hold this week I would have thought?
-
-
Hi.....Who do u think the best option for a 4.5 defender is? From gw5....don't want stoke, Leicester, Norwich or Sunderland ....
Choice seems to be.
Francis
Ward
Nyom
Souare-
Out of those I'd go Francis for fixtures
-
Francis
-
-
Shall I bench boost to get Surman, Francis v Lei and Williams v Utd, involved ?!?
-
Without doubt
-
No Point keeping for DGW, surely ?
-
That's my dilemma too! Got Gomez(or Mert), Targett and Westwood on the bench this week with some nice fixtures, debating whether to play my bench boost this week or save later for DGW
-
-
-
-
Anyone else think that Rooney could prove a huge problem for Man Utd soon?
He's clearly not the right man to be their only striker right now, but there isn't really a spot for him in midfield either. I'd be quite happy to see LvG bench him for a while-
I think he'll get dropped back into the hole if they possibly can.
-
but that might disrupt the quality players they have their like Mata & Depay etc..
-
Depay looked best on the wing and he clearly doesn't see Mata as a no.10 or he'd have played him there already.
-
-
Could be behind Fellaini. That would be fun.
Also, please excuse me, I dumped Pelle. 🙁-
Haha no worries. 🙂 I dumped Mané last week. We're chaotic to say the least.
-
-
-
Amazed they didn't push for benteke
-
Playing Rooney behind Fellaini (role as number 9) and having Depay's cross from the left flank, well United might just explode Swansea's defence this week!
-
-
-
Convince me that with Wilson's attempts in the box and Bournemouth's easier run that Gomis to Wilson is foolish...
If it matters I've got Atew in midfield.-
it is a gamble but it's always best to jump off just before people stop scoring so if you feel that Swansea's fixtures will result in a drop in Gomis' output then why not.
Ayew should be a good source of points there anyway -
-
-
I'll ask again.
A) Depay -> Cout (free)
B) Depay + Gomis -> Tekkers + Shaq/Chadli/Gradel (-4)
C) Depay + Gomis -> Diouf + Cout (-4)
D) Save
I just don't feeekin know.-
Save
-
A, why get rid of Gomis for a hit?
-
Tekkers.
-
-
Well, you were unshiftable on Depay last week ...
-
This is a good point actually, you were in love with Depay.
-
Still am but fixtures. Depay could change my mind tonight.
-
But the fixtures didn't change...
-
Was a decent one week punt. You lot are right though. Will ponder. Thanks.
-
Too early for one week punts, imo.

A. Gomis out is not worth the hit. (again)

I'm guessing you already have 3xCity
-
Yes.

Bentekkers

Should we utilize the Chips on DGW for better return??
-
who would you play this week?
A. Darmian(Swa)
B. Payet(Liv)
Cheers! -
Does anyone else think van Gaal isn't serious about playing Fellaini up front and that it's just a ploy to try and reduce the price of some forward he's trying to bring in (or some nonsense along those lines)?
-
With his height and ability to hold of the defenders he his not a bad as striker. He wont score that many goals, but he will draw/hold the defenders and allow the likes of mata, deepay, rooney to score the goals. Basic idea is to create space for other goal scorers
-
I think he's deadly serious unfortunately. Most likely he plays behind Rooney, which despite his absence of pace, passing ability and general clumsiness, is his best position. Januzaj probably out.
-
-
Defoe bandwagon? Just scored a hat-trick last night!!
-
against a league 2 side
-
so did scott sinclair.. bandwagon?
-
-
ideal to have 2 extra transfer for international break so I would go D

Thoughts on Gradel vs Ritchie?
Why is the FFS favoring Ritichie? -
I've seen some really insightful responses on here this morning so I'm gonna put my own WC dilemma out there. Current squad with 0 FT / 0.4ITB:
Schmeichel Schwarzer
Mert Shaw Francis Huth Coates
Haz Ozil Memphis Januzaj Westwood
Aguero Kane Wilson
I can't get Mahrez because of my stupid Leicester triple at the back. I also have no backup keeper, Coates, and I'm missing the Gomez / City midfield bandwagon. BUT I'm write happy with the core, even if the likes of Memphis and Hazy aren't currently in vogue.
Would you WC next week? :-/-
Try the new article 🙂

WC mate!

-
Which option guys:
A. Gomis -> Wilson
B. Payet -> Ritchie
C. Payet and Gomis -> Ritchie and Benteke (-4p)
D. save FT
thanks-

Need to play two of the following this week. Thanks in advance! Already have Gomis up front so worried about too much Swansea attack vs the Utd defence.
a) Darmian
b) Shelvey
c) Westwood
d) Richards-
Darmian & Richards
-
Darmian
-
Thanks!
-
-
-
Shaw or Darmian?
-
All being well moves for GW5 will be
Gomis > Wilson
Payet > Pedro
Williams > Francis
-4
Good Moves???
Would leave me with the below team
Butland
Kompany/Gomez/Francis
Silva/Pedro/Sanchez/Mahrez
Aguero/Benteke/Wilson
Mccarthy/Westwood/Richards/Targett -
A) Lukaku to Wilson or Benteke -4
B) Gomis to Wilson or Benteke -4
C) Lukaku and Gomis to Wilson and Benteke -8
D) Do not attempt those moves! Are you crazy?-
D, see what happens this weekend
-
-
Myhill (Guzan)
Gomez, Stones, Kolarov (Naughton, Francis)
Pedro, Mahrez, Yaya, Sanchez (Anya)
Wilson, Agüero, Gomis
WC played and this is what I've come up with at the moment.
Feedback appreciated! -
Mata's stats are clearly better than depays here. So why am I very reluctant to switch depay out for him? Am I just caught up in the hype!?
Anyone else switching depay for mata? -
any chance hazard drops again before this wknd? and any chance McCarthy keeps the palace keeper job once Speroni returns? cheers
