Just ten days after celebrating three-figure tallies, many Fantasy managers are now left counting the flags as the international break casualties mount.

Sergio Aguero leads the army of crocks. The City striker’s twanging hamstring has taken the shine off his incredible 25-point haul and it’s his demise from hero to zero that dominates the chatter in this latest ScoutCast episode.

With Granville struck down by sniffles, Luke aka “D1sable” steps into the breach to join Jonty and myself to take up the challenge of weighing up the Aguero stand-ins.

We also take time to assess two contrasting managerial appointments, greeting Jurgen Klopp’s thrilling heavy metal football, whilst mustering a nod to Big Sam’s bid to produce a Black Cats escape routine.

This latest episode was first broadcast live via our YouTube channel on Wednesday evening. You can view the full broadcast via the larger player below (much as we love Luke, we do eventually shift the camera from him).

For the edited and slightly more refined audio experience, you’ll need this link or the stream available via small player.

Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for the heads-up on future episodes.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Interesting. Hazard, Sanchez and De Bruyne supporting Pelle & Berahino.
        Could work well this week...

De Bruyne in form. Hazard, not so much. Chelsea a mess. City has some injury concerns and such, but KDB, either way, is involved in just about everything when on the pitch. Has taken to the Prem like a fish to water. Chelsea a mess, I repeat. Hazard not really sparkling like last season.

Hazard does not make the most of his talent. Too often he takes the safe option when he should be exploiting his ability to take defenders on and split defences with his vision. A lot of this is down to Mourinho's playing style, prioritising team structure over creativity. Given more freedom he could step it up a level rather than stagnate as he is currently.

De Bruyne is a classic attacking midfielder. All-rounded, effective, consistent. A few years ago I tipped him as the next Gerrard, as his style reminded me of him a little. But I personally think he'll surpass his status if he continues his development and unlocks his full potential.

Oh. In terms of fpl, KdB on current form but Hazard could easily match him due to penalties.

      Both Belgian
      KdB is taller
      Hazard is older
KdB is a Prince Harry Lookalike
Eden Hazard has a younger brother who is also a Belgian international
      KdB has a pregnant girlfriend
Hazard is married and has two kids
KdB won Bundesliga Player of the Year
Hazard won Premier League Player of the Year

Could not decide between Costa Sturridge and Lukkaku (have Pelle and Vardy)

Decided on Costa simply because his rise will come tomorrow (i.e. later than the other two) so I can have information from today's pressers and to account for training injuries today.

Am I focussing on the wrong things and missing the bigger picture?

    1. Farnborough's Finest
      11 years, 8 days ago

Perhaps.. I'm going for Lukaku, partly because it gets a future transfer done and dusted.

    2. Tabasco
      11 years, 8 days ago

I'm unsure how a later price rise benefits you when you've decided on him anyway (and missed the others).

I think Lukaku is the best pick of those 3 right now.

      1. dmhomag
        11 years, 8 days ago

I'm always getting before the rise. So if I chose Lukkaku I'd get him yesterday. My decision not to get Trollkaku is purely because I'd rather do the transfer as late as possible.

who do I bench out of this front 8?

    Mata, Mahrez, Sanchez, Payet, KDB

taking a -4 to get KDB and and Pelle, I think! unless I get Sturridge and Mane, which still gives me a similar benching dilemma...cheers foks!

Why take a -4 to give yourself a benching dilemma?

      1. Cevap
        11 years, 8 days ago

good question, did not think about it that way! would hold on to that team though for a while. Really want both KDB and Pelle. Are you suggesting just to go without KDB this week, Diva?

        1. Diva
          11 years, 8 days ago

Tough choice. Kolarov could potentially be my only City player - if fit - and going without is really worrying. So I am toying with a -8 to bring a City mid in too. My justification is that I have game time worries over Mané, Mahrez and Ayew and while I don't mind Ighalo coming off the bench I'm not thrilled about the idea this week. Mahrez is probably your only concern. Therefore, I can't advise you against the move but I think you need to be sure in yourself that there is a strong case for him.

  11. Diva
    11 years, 8 days ago

For someone who doesn't mind taking a hit early season and has traditionally watched the market like a hawk, I'm being weirdly slow removing Agüero. I guess it's a desire to know the results of the press conferences to make sure I don't bring in someone who is then flagged.

      1. Diva
        11 years, 8 days ago

Exactly. I would rather give up .1 than spend -4 on a player that becomes -8 if I have to replace them before the deadline. I have enough game time worries elsewhere so I want to give my Agüero replacement as much time as possible in which to not get injured.

    Fletcher > Eriksen?

    Already did Aguero > Pelle
Have 5.1 inb and my team currently and 1 FT left

    Ruddy (butland)
    Kol - Cedric - Huth
    Payet - Haz (c) - Sanchez - mahrez
Lukaku - Pelle (VC) - igahlo

    Francis, fletcher, 4.0

Obviously will wait on kolarov news too, but I figure and extra starter may help this week.

I was going to say: "I would normally say no but in this instance yes." Then I thought "West Brom have a couple of decent fixtures and at least Fletcher should play", so I might spend that extra transfer on upgrading your 4.0 defender to a good option for this week who you can start in place of Huth. You then have cover for up to three no-shows and you fix the weakest point in your team.

Haha, awesome. That might have helped me funnily enough. 🙂 Who do you think holds the balance of power in those differentials?

Honestly if his defence gets a shut out then you're screwed but I back Mane and Ayew over his Uinted boys.

Happy with where my team is at the moment, took a hit this week (4 trades), but was previously overall 34,885.

    Adrian - Hennessey
    Darmian - Hernandez - Monreal - Richards - Kelly
    Hazard (C) - Sanchez - Payet - DeBruyne (VC) - Sinclair
    Pelle - Martial - Vardy

4 trades is at least 2 hits

    On WC.

Just changed my entire back 5...

From this : Kompany Gabriel Cedric Janmaat Simpson

To: Bellerin Bertrand Janmaat Moreno O'Shea

May be difficult to bring in Coleman now, but overall impression?

    Thanks.

      i'd worry about non-starters.. and newc/sun!
B n B are good, Moreno could be, but I wouldn't touch Janm or O'Sh
fwiw i went for Souare n Cathcart

Yes, yes, is your middle name 'Danger' like Austin Powers, could be great or could be bad we wait to see, punting on the hope of a little Big Sam magic.

Hi DZ, could I get your thoughts on this please?

    A) Yaya (if cleared to play) + Lukaku
    or
    B) Mahrez + Costa

I have Pelle and Ighalo as my strike force already.

    Thanks!

2 Decisions to Make for this GW now..

    1. Choose a Captain from KDB, Pelle, Sanchez
    2. Choose 1 to start between Francis (man city) or Richards (chelsea)

    1. KDB?
    2. Francis?

i wanted to captain mane.. but now that the leicester boss is going to reward the players with pizza if they keep a clean sheet.. i think thats risky, since that would motivate me..

+ the fact that mane has a bad record of being rested after internationals

      1. Mr. O'Connell
        11 years, 8 days ago

pizza has been the incentive for a clean sheet most of the season already and they look like getting any soon

Pizza? Sounds like Mahrez may be benched in favour of a tighter defence.

Who to bench, Sako (WHU) or Ighalo (ARS) ?

    1. 2 Girls 1 Schlupp

Bench Ighalo, if Sako doesn't play Ighalo comes as an automatic sub.
