Having assessed the stand-out Defenders over the last four Gameweeks yesterday evening, we now turn our attentions to the centre of the park. Arsenal, Tottenham and Bournemouth’s playmakers feature in our analysis, whilst we also take a look at some in-form protagonists from Everton, Liverpool, Man City and Newcastle as the search for a Dimitri Payet replacement intensifies.

Yeah, but Bosnia have been very poor overall too except for a few half chances. If Ireland were quicker and more direct with their passing they have a chance of even getting an away goal here, but unfortunately, I don't see that coming

The fullback situation at Germany is really sad. Wouldn't be surprised to see Lahm come out of retirement. 😆

        1. Polaris - The Mortal Coil
          10 years, 11 months ago

          It's not that bad...

Sure they don't have one with the quality Lahm had, but Jonas Hector is a very solid and consistent LB who plays every game for the national team and a good Köln side. There's also Marcel Schmelzer and Eric Durm, plenty of good LB options.

Julian Korb or Matthias Ginter are maybe the best RBs they could pick.

Giroud is not a donkey, but here, certainly, Martial is the talent. God darn it how he outplayed that Germany defence. Reminds me of Ribéry and Cassano.

      1. Polaris - The Mortal Coil

        Pogba Schneiderlin Matuidi
        Griezmann Benzema Martial

Fékir, Lacazette, Payet, Giroud, Gameiro, Valbuena, Cabaye, Coquelin, Gonalons, Kondogbia -and so on. My word I love the front 6 options France have at the moment. Probably my current favourite. 🙂

Not to mention the endless amount of younger talent they have. Tolisso, Ferri etc....

        1. Camp No No
          10 years, 11 months ago

Too bad for them that Fekir got injured. I think he may be the best out of that lot. Seriously. Amazingly talented player.

        2. Camp No No

Particularly, too bad if Fekir and Amavi don't make it to the Euro. Love to see both of them playing.

          1. Polaris - The Mortal Coil
            10 years, 11 months ago

Hmm, I'd say it would be majorly unlikely Amavi would make the squad regardless of potential injury. And I think Layvin Kurzawa is infinitely better anyway. Benjamin Mendy is also very very good.
