Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla are sidelined with injuries picked up at Norwich last weekend. Watford will make a late decision on Heurelho Gomes’ fitness, Micah Richards is a concern for Villa, whilst West Ham’s Diafra Sakho is set for a period on the sidelines.

Earlier this morning, Arsene Wenger confirmed that Theo Walcott and Laurent Koscielny might be ready to return for the visit of Sunderland – both face late assessments tomorrow. The Gunners boss admitted he was uncertain over Alexis Sanchez’ likely return date, though Santi Cazorla could be sidelined until March. Kieran Gibbs is back for the Gunners after missing the trip to Carrow Road with a calf complaint.

Micah Richards is a big doubt for Villa’s trip to Southampton – he’s hardly trained all week due to a knee problem. Gabby Agbonlahor is back in training whilst both Jose Angel Crespo and Tiago Ilori are still sidelined. Remi Garde has confirmed that Jack Grealish remains unavailable for first-team selection due to recent off-field issues. Elsewhere, Ciaran Clark serves a one-match suspension after earning a fifth yellow card of the season last weekend.

Slaven Bilic has conceded that the Hammers are set to be without Diafra Sakho for “a few games, definitely” after the Senegal international sustained a thigh injury during last week’s draw against West Brom.

Jermain Defoe and Seb Larsson have both been ruled out of Sunderland’s trip to Arsenal, Sam Allardyce confirmed yesterday. Jack Rodwell is also unavailable for the Emirates encounter due to a hamstring problem.

Tony Pulis has revealed that West Brom will assess “one or two knocks and niggles” ahead of their home clash with Spurs. Claudio Jacob sits this one out through suspension, though Chris Brunt is back in contention after serving a one-match ban.

Ryan Mason has been ruled out with an ankle injury for Spurs’ trip to the Hawthorns. Dele Alli is available again after serving a one-match ban, whilst Nabil Bentaleb and Nacer Chadli are close to returning to training.

Swansea left-back Franck Tabanou is the only absentee ahead of their Liberty encounter with Leicester.

Quique Sanchez Flores will make a late assessment on Heurelho Gomes’ fitness after the keeper was forced off with a head knock last week. Valon Behrami remains sidelined for the Hornets, whilst Adlene Guedioura is expected to shrug off a minor knock. Sebastian Prodl has returned to training but will not be available in time for the visit of Norwich.

Alex Tettey has recovered from injury and has been passed fit for Norwich’s trip to Vicarage Road.

Leicester’s Ritchie de Laet has been ruled out for a month with an ankle injury sustained in training. Matty James stepped up his recovery from a long-term knee injury with a midweek run out for the reserves but is likely to miss out due to a lack of match fitness.

Cheick Tiote and Jamaal Lascelles are both unavailable for Newcastle’s home clash with Arsenal. Mike Williamson – who was recalled from a loan spell at Wolves to cover for Lascelles – has picked up a hamstring injury in training and is also ruled out.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Ayew + Rojo -> Haz + Moreno for -4 (playing defender would either be Janmaat or Francis if I dont bring in a defender and would captain Hazard).

Ask the question again as it got bottomed 🙂

I was going to ask him / others the same earlier - would be great to get a few going in your league.

is the monthly one different from overall one?

      1. John t penguin
        10 years, 11 months ago

in that once the month finishes your team is over or does it carry on for future months

You can keep using the team.

Main thing is people are setting up fresh teams now to go for December prize. After that you can keep using the team for Jan/Feb etc but you'll be bound by the normal transfer rules.

I suppose you need two teams. Take a mega loan for team 1 prior to the month start and use that team for the next month. Before the end of that month take a mega load on the 2nd team and use that for the following month then back to team 1.

        2. BabyB
          10 years, 11 months ago

your team carries on for the whole period so you can play for every month. You wont have a chance for the overall prize though.

so it is like getting fresh choice of players for that month?
is it £5 each team also

              yep and yep

though if you play it smartly you can do it without buying in new teams.

through the loan system that is. Last year I had two teams alternating monthly attempts and made the top 50 in 6 consecutive months

How did you all get on in November?

Is the winner here like the month before?

It was my first ever go and found it a great format of the game, really enjoyed it. Ended up 13th, 11 points behind the winner.

Tougher to plan for December with 5 gameweeks but at least they come thick and fast, should be very exciting.

          Good luck to all.

  14. Cesc's old mullet

Just saw that Rojo is out. Given that :
    - my replacement for him is Cresswell (mun)
    - I would have to take a hit to replace Rojo

    Should I draft in :
    - Moreno (new, WBA, wat, LEI) or
    - Zouma (BOU, lei, SUN, WAT) or
    - Alderweireld (wba, NEW, sot, NOR) ?

    My reasoning :
    - Moreno is good for returns of both ends of the pitch (especially for that Newcastle game where I think they're going to destroy them)
    - Chelsea look like they've started to tighten things up at the back, and with BOU and SUN on the horizon, Zouma looks quite good
    - as for Alderweireld, I fancy a CS at least for the NEW and NOR games

    Your thoughts?

PS : the rest of my defence is : Kolarov, Bellerin, Cresswell, Francis

Coquelin out, half of the rest of Arsenal's roster out, still expect Arsenal to win, but not sure on the CS potential.

Play Hart or Schmeichel? Got Kolarov in my defence, so Hart would mean a double up on City.

      Schmeichel, Swansea can't score.

    Arsenal's injury list

    Gibbs
    Arteta
    Coquelin
    Wilshere
    Rosický
    Walcott
    Welbeck
    Koscielny
    Alexis
    Cazorla

They just need a GK injured to form a Injured XI

If Coutinho not confirmed fit today, who is the best option for Sanchez?

Don't want Hazard, and can't get any other City player

    1. Puyol Pants Up

      Hazard is the best option

Not going into Mane trap again.
Eriksen is an interesting option, true.

Why do people not expect Sturridge to start after getting 59 minutes midweek and scoring twice?

Benteke to come back in? Origi to start up front? Firmino to play false 9?

      You tell me!

Surely Benteke will play given that he got a full rest? Do you not think Firmino might too?

      1. Irish Madridista ⭐
        10 years, 11 months ago

I expect Firmino to play alright, but not up front.

I have no idea who'll play out of Sturridge / Origi / Benteke, all three are in form and have a case for inclusion in Klopp's line up... Dammit I wish I knew, could be a serious haul for whoever plays.

this. I am so tempted to punt on sturridge but a real risk if he doesnt play.

Aguero to Sturridge could be a real contender but it's way too risky 🙁

                10 years, 11 months ago

I don't think Aguero -> Sturridge is as risky as Vardy -> Sturridge.. 😛

If I had Aguero, I'd 100% get Daniel.

honestly this site amazes me at times, in fact all the time
I cant recall ever when someone asked for some way of looking at something or calculating something and there wasn't an instant reply giving them the answer.
probably my age but I genuinely sit in awe of some of the posters techy knowledge on here.

p.s. if anyone wants to know the best lamp posts or how to find other dogs bones give me a shout

metal ones with the cover missing, danger.
concrete ones hold the scent much longer, particularly if there is a patch of grass at bottom
