The Weekend Team News

Mesut Ozil is passed fit for Arsenal’s home clash with Chelsea, whilst Alexis Sanchez may also be available. Charlie Austin is in the Southampton squad for the trip to United, West Ham’s James Tomkins will be assessed as City roll up to Upton Park, whilst Mark Hughes will monitor Marko Arnautovic’s hamstring as the Potters make their way to Leicester.

Mesut Ozil is available for Arsenal’s clash with Chelsea on Sunday after recovering from a foot injury. Alexis Sanchez is expected to be in contention this weekend, though Arsene Wenger has admitted he’s keen to minimise the risk to the Chilean, who has failed to feature since Gameweek 14 due to a hamstring complaint.

Charlie Austin has recovered from a hamstring problem and is in line to make his Southampton debut at United, Ronald Koeman has confirmed. Graziano Pelle is a doubt once again, though, due to his ongoing knee injury.

Palace boss Alan Pardew has confirmed that Wayne Hennessey will retain his place between the posts for the visit of Tottenham, despite a couple of high-profile errors in the last two fixtures. Dwight Gayle is still sidelined with a hamstring problem – the forward has returned to training this week but Palace medical staff have advised Pardew against playing the striker.

James Tomkins will be assessed ahead of West Ham’s home clash with Man City, Slaven Bilic has confirmed. Joey O’Brien has recovered from injury and is available.

Geoff Cameron remains sidelined for Stoke’s clash with Leicester due to an ongoing ankle complaint. Mark Hughes conceded he has “got to be careful” with Marko Arnautovic’s hamstring problem, whilst Xherdan Shaqiri is back in training and will be assessed.

Claudio Ranieri has revealed that Ritchie de Laet is nursing a groin problem ahead of Leicester’s clash with Stoke. Matty James and Jeffrey Schlupp remain on the sidelines for the King Power showdown.

Sam Allardyce has confirmed that Vito Mannone will continue as Sunderland’s number one following the departure of Costel Pantilimon to Watford. Big Sam handed Jordan Pickford a chance against Spurs last weekend but will turn to the Italian once again for the visit of Bournemouth.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has confirmed he will make late decisions on the availability of Matt Ritchie (dead leg) and Josh King (hamstring) for the trip to the Stadium of Light. Benik Afobe is expected to be fit for weekend trip to Sunderland , after being forced off with a knock last time out.

Saido Berahino has recovered from a midweek illness in time for West Brom’s home derby with Villa. Chris Brunt, Jonas Olsson and Darren Fletcher are all struggling to be fit, though, Tony Pulis has confirmed.

Roberto Martinez reveals that James McCarthy and Seamus Coleman are “progressing well” from injury, whilst Bryan Oviedo is fit and available for Everton’s home encounter with Swansea, after being forced off with a knock last weekend.
