At the second time of asking, Man United and Bournemouth prepare to go head-to-head at Old Trafford as the 2015/16 season comes to a belated conclusion. With the battle for the FPL title and the outcome of many a mini-league still on the line, tonight’s match promises to be a fraught 90-minute affair for Fantasy managers.

Certainly, the form is in favour of the hosts. Louis van Gaal’s side have won six and drawn one of the last seven in front of their own fans and need a point to climb above Southampton into fifth.

Surprisingly, Bournemouth better the home side for both shots (59 to 55) and efforts in the box (31 to 28) over their respective last four, though the Red Devils have outscored the visitors by six goals to four and sit fourth in the top-flight for touches in the box (139) over that time frame.

In defence, United have registered more big chances against (eight to seven) but Eddie Howe’s troops have been far more porous, conceding nine times to the home side’s four. The Cherries also fare worse for both shots against (37 to 31) and efforts in the box conceded (22 to 17), strengthening Van Gaal’s chances of a morale-boosting win prior to the weekend Wembley clash with Palace.

Wierd season, thank god it's over.

    Pro's
    Won both classic ML's
    Won H/H league
    Won Local Private League

    Con's
Disappointing OR c33K after 2k last year
TERRIBLE Captain choice for 33 out of 38 weeks
Poor start (still out of top 2 million until week 9).
Poor use of chips, but enjoyed the use of them.
Sucked into DGW's hype by ditching better scoring SGW players.

    What lessons will I learn.
Stick with my gut feeling more.
Consider captain choice which offer more of a differential and ignore FFS captain poll.
    Play form over fixtures.
Will not pick my GW1 line up at the last minute, will give more time to it.

Even though a lot of regulars have had a bad season, it's been a season of learning. Thanks for your comments and thanks to those who posted regular and one off articles. Thanks to all who put the hard work into this site, we all owe you a thank you. Good health and hope to see all next season.

Who to bring in for Smalling?! No wait...

Feel for those who lost in dying moments with that OG.
But it takes nothing away from the game. That's why we play it, it works both ways. Fair play I'd have picked him if I hadn't @@@ed away my chips.

What am I going to do for the next 2 months? I'll tell you. Spend my Smalling-free ML winnings. Even my precious 50k rank topped it.

    Thank you FFS

Everyone on this site -- Thank you for a great season.

Thanks to all of the advice and wisdom over the years. After 7 years, I finally won my mini league. I am the only American playing in an office pool out of Leeds. They never expected to have to ship the office trophy over seas . . . .

    Cheers!

Thanks. I wish, but the mini league has gotten progressively better and harder to win each year. I had to get up into the sub-3K range to win it -- and only nabbed it by ten pts in the end (Thanks, Smalling).

Top 3.5K last year, top 1K this year (or I should be, at least, with Martial's 5).

    Yeah, I'll take that.

    Oh joy!

Best ending ever! Just between me and my buddy Joey. We each one a league or two but since gw34 it was personal.

    He had BB, AOA

Best ending ever! Just between me and my buddy Joey. We each one a league or two but since gw34 it was personal.

He had BB, AOA,TV and a wildcard.

It came down to (with having major advantage, like 5000-1):

      Last game...

Me: +6 & Blind Vrs DDG, Smalling & Mata

Think (hope!) I won by 7.

Won it with a combo of Townsend capt GW36 & third sub GW38 Janmaat!!!
