Suspensions

Aguero Charged by FA

The FA have this afternoon charged Sergio Aguero with alleged violent conduct following his altercation with Winston Reid in City’s 3-1 win over West Ham at the Etihad last weekend.

City’s top scorer now has until 6pm tomorrow to contest the charge and, if found guilty, is set to serve a three-match domestic ban.

He would sit out the Gameweek 4 and 5 encounters against United and Bournemouth, as well as City’s EFL Cup trip to Swansea on September 20.

Aguero would then be available for the Gameweek 6 visit to the Liberty four days later.

Given the nature of the altercation, Aguero’s flailing arm gives him little hope of avoiding suspension.

Owned by over 52% of Fantasy Premier League managers, he’s already suffered significant sales after withdrawing from Argentina duties with a calf problem.

Should confirmation come tomorrow, the exodus will kick into overdrive as we look to spend the budget freed up by his departure from our squads.

For the 43.2% who don’t yet own him, Zlatan Ibrahimovic offers an easy swap for those who are seeking a place-holder for the City striker.

Chelsea’s Diego Costa looks reinvigorated under Antonio Conte and, along with Wayne Rooney, is one of only two forwards to produce returns in each of the first three Gameweeks.

The Aguero news comes at a time where Eden Hazard and Alexis Sanchez served a reminder of their big-hitter potential in midfield with double-figure weekend returns.

Whilst the temptation to invest the Aguero funds heavily in midfield is strong, keeping the door open for an easy return looks a wise move given his form under Pep Guardiola.

No, and it's a super easy swap to whatever mid priced midfielder you want if either of them isn't doing what you need. They're both potential 200 point players.

    Current Team (Bank: 0.7):

    Heaton - Forster
Baines - van Dijk - Dann - McAuley - Stones
    Alli - Barkley - Tadic - Eriksen - Townsend
    Gray - Aguero - Borini

Planning to take out Aguero and Alli,
    for Sanchez and Aguero.
Any comments, or suggest better option?

Man Utd look fantastic at the moment, I wouldn't say there are any tough fixtures for them except the Chelsea away match in GW9.

Depends is Capoue is going to be playing? He won't be started in the same position with Pereyra there so I wouldn't expect any output.

    1) Lukaku or Costa or Kane?? Lukaku is in a goal drought, Costa is a yellow card magnets and barely got any BPS. Kane plays so deep nowadays with Janssen in the picture, although Dembele is set to return in GW5...Need some help here. Already an Ibra owner.

    2) Collins or Stones? Picking Collins would allow me to get a 6.0+ midfield, but if I go with Stones my choice will be limited to 5.5 options(Puncheon?). Neither look ideal but West Ham's fixtures look very tasty. Man city on the other hand is still very shaky in defence.

I don't get the Lukaku goal drought part. He's only played one full match and managed to take plenty of shots and touches in the box. Given EVE fixtures I don't see why you'd do Costa (YCs and tough fixtures) or Kane (won't score until October).

    Foster-Jaku
    Valencia-Stones-Williams-Friend-Amat
    Hazard-Tadic-Bolasie-Townsend-Ramirez
    Aguero-Vardy-Gray
    (2.5 ITB)

I have 2 FT and plan to:
    - Aguero (if banned for 3 matches) to Benteke (good fixture and nailed in 'long ball to the box of Pardew's system' and on penalty next time, rather than Lukaku (I had Bolasie), Costa (I had hazard) and Ibra for MU's att stats reason.
    - Townsend to Sanchez/Ozil (good fixture and form)

But i have some worries about need a west ham cover, Gray possible banned, Tadic scoreless but great in stats, or punt in Bolasie as Everton cover?

I had no problem with my defence..

Ibra is a must have. Teke vs Lukaku- tough- both with good fixtures. Lukaku's suporting cast is better. Costa- I agree- he just got banned last year- he can be trouble.

      Man Utd are third for:
      Goals scored
      Pen box touches
      Touches in the final 3rd
      Goal attempts

Something wrong with their attack stats?

Ok- a little gamble here but I am out of transfers and even took a -4 to get here:
    Foster
    Bellerin, McCauley, Collins
    Ozil, Hazard, Barkley, Snodgrass
Ibra, Lukaku, Rondon; Bench: Jaku, Capoue, Kingsley, Amat. £4mln in itb
--Bear with me: Rondon and Snodgrass play against Bournmouth and Burney- teams with most shots taken from within Penalty Box in the entire league- worst defenses. So keep them or do Snodgrass > Sterling (he is at Man City) or Rondon for Benteke (at stubborn Boro) ????

    1 FT 1,3 ITB

    A) Kun > Lukaku
    B) A + Tadic > Sanchez (-4)
    C) A + Bolasie > Özil (-4)
    D) Tadic > Sterling
    E) Wildcard

How likely is it Iheanacho gets a couple of games up front with Aguero out? Thinking if Bony gets a transfer out there isn't another forward there and 8 goals in 766 mins last year doesn't look bad? Would let me have Sanchez for any midfielder I wanted to temp swap out

    Have I lost the plot?

Hi guys, so I already made 2 transfers last week (Walcott and Jaku in) but the only 2 transfers I really want to make this week are Costa and Sanchez in (which I can afford) - however, that would give me a -12 point hit. I feel this isn't enough to use my wildcard though.

If I took the 12 point hit, team would be:

    Foster Jaku

    Terry Baines Valencia (Kingsley Tarkowski)
    Sanchez Coutinho Hazard Sterling (Hojberg)
    Costa Ibra Diomande

Thoughts? Should I wildcard or should I just get Costa in and leave Walcott and take only a 8 point hit, not a 12 point one?

So my current line up looks like:
    Foster
    Baines-Collins-Valencia
    Haz-Sanchez-Mirallas--Townsend
    Dio-Kun-Ibra

With the WC already active,I intend replace Townsend and Kun with Luka and Ozil. Then its Ozil vs Sanchez and Luka vs Ibra. The winners gets to stay while the losers get shipped out for Aguero and perhaps Pereyra.

Moving aguero out can either swap out for any striker directly or take a points hit and bring in a cheaper forward and get someone like hazard?

    A- aguero>lukaku
    B-aguero>rooney(ibra in already)
    C- aguero>Costa
    D aguero, fletcher>hazard and negredo
E- Aguero, fletcher > hazard a.n other cheap forward

Hi everyone. I'm really stumped regarding what to do with Aguero, as I've already made my GW transfer (Mahrez -> Ozil).

Should I play my wildcard or just wait two games for Aguero to come back? Here's my team:

    Heaton (Foster)

    Friend Dawson Azpilicueta (Shaw Stones)

    Ozil Barkley Hazard Townsend (Capoue)

    Aguero Benteke Gray

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Maybe a minus 4. But azpi may lose his spot, Dawson a bit expensive when Evans and mcaully are .5 cheaper. Maybe friend to pieters from stoke if they start keeping cleans, which, it's stoke at home, hard ground for travelling teams. Maybe even ozil to sterling or Antonio or ozil to cazorla who is on pens then you can upgrade a striker. Good luck matw

Thanks for advice mate. I played wildcard a couple of days ago, tell me what you think of this:

        Heaton (Foster)

McAuley Shaw Collins Williams (Adam Smith)

        Sanchez Barkley Hazard Antonio (Capoue)

        Ibra Benteke (Bony)

I may swap a keeper for Pickford and use my 0.4 in the bank to upgrade either McAuley or Collins to Bailly.

        Cheers again!
