The Dugout Discussion – Burnley vs Arsenal

Share:

Gameweek 7 comes to its conclusion as Burnley welcome Arsenal to Turf Moor.

The Gunners roll up on the back of four straight league wins, with Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott both in fine recent form.

The Chilean teed up Walcott’s pair of strikes in the midweek Champions League win over FC Basel and with three double-figure hauls in four, carries the armband hopes of many at Turf Moor.

Walcott has now notched five times in seven across all competitions and has risen to 6% ownership in Fantasy Premier League.

Another big performance today would surely kick start a bandwagon over the international break, yet Arsene Wenger’s side face an obstinate Clarets rearguard that has conceded just five goals in the previous 17 league matches in front of their own supporters.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Worth dropping either of Baines or Valencia for Vertonghen for -4? I'm assuming not.

I'm considering it, want to get rid of Coleman and Valencia and bring in Vertonghen - always a gamble but spurs look far more likely than either to get cleanie against west brom than either man utd vs liverpool or Everton vs Man City next gw

Possible to make a Son/Walcott hot topic? Seems like lots of people are wondering about that choice - especially as Son has to make a long trip to play international games

Think of getting in Walcott (have Sanchez) or Son. I have my eye on Pieters as the enabler, which gives my 0.1 it's for Wally and 0.2 it's for Son.
    A few questions off the back of that;
A: Get in Wally or Son
B: Pieters a good option or anything else in 4.5 bracket (have Holobas)
C: Make the transfers tonight (2FTs) or take the price hike and hope the next increase will not happen until the internationals have passed through.
    Cheers!!

Got a bit of a headache with my current squad. Don't know whether I should upgrade Antonio or sort out my defence that only seems capable of 2's week in week out. Any suggestions?

    Heaton
    Valencia McAuley Baines
    Chadli Capoue Sterling Sanchez
    Kun Lukaku Austin

    (Foster Antonio Amat Souare)

WBA's fixtures look awful from here on out so I'm thinking either McAuley > Koscielny or Baines to Kosc to save money. Or Antonio > Walcott/Son/Firmino???
