Dugout Discussion

The Dugout Discussion – Crystal Palace vs West Ham

We head to Selhurst Park for Saturday’s final fixture as Palace and West Ham’s dodgy defences go head-to-head.

Christian Benteke warmed up for this one with a midweek hat-trick against Gibraltar and will fancy his chances against a rearguard that conceded more goals than any other over the first seven.

Subject of a recent members article, the in-form Dimitri Payet has racked up a goal and four assists in four starts for the visitors and chipped in with a goal and assist for France over the break.

Michail Antonio has netted in each of his last two away outings – at Man City and West Brom – suggesting he could punish his recent batch of sellers against a Palace backline that’s yet to keep a clean sheet.

Classic don't 'speak too soon' scenario today with Kun scoring -1 then Benteke my captain doing the same! Rubbing my hands thought I was going to leap up my league.. 🙁

    Who will win this week?

    Me: Firmino + 8 pts
My H2H rival: Coutinho + Friend + Capoue

Looks more solid and potentially worth more points. I'd say worth a -4.

No love for Siggy? Next 2 WAT, stk. Swansea looked motivated while attacking and he's on pens too.

That annoying feeling when you're unhappy that your midfield hasn't scored well but also not unhappy with any of them individually

I think three consecutive blanks is the limit when there are so many good options around

Anyone know anything about Baines? Wasn't even on the bench yesterday. Been a few weeks now. With Alders now also a doubt my def is looking shaky.
Thinking of bringing in Creswell for Baines. Had my eye on him returning. I know WH def is bad, but I think it will get better with him back in the ranks. Great source of attacking points over the last 2 seasons.
Also LIV def - any advice on a good DEF nailed on candidate?
    Any help much appreciated!
