Despite grabbing eight goals in nine starts, it seems Sergio Aguero still hasn’t done enough to merit a place in some Fantasy managers’ plans, with growing calls for his dismissal among the community this week.

Our hot topic posters mull over the possible replacements for the Argentine, who is to be assessed by Pep Guardiola ahead of City’s trip to Burnley with a foot problem. Meanwhile, our community scribes take a look at what the fans, bookies, form guide and fixtures have to say about the weekend’s best armband candidates and transfer targets. There’s a certain Icelandic midfielder hogging the limelight in our Members tables round up and, finally, we find out the Fantasy managers who have already proved their calibre by topping our community leagues.

The Community Articles

Romelu Lukaku let down YMA last weekend after becoming the first of his six bookies, form and fixtures based captain picks to flop. He’ll be hoping that this Gameweek’s top choice fares better.

Meanwhile, Everton fans are predicting a better performance from their side when they take on Southampton on the south coast on Sunday, according to Bolivian Seaman‘s latest look at the supporters’ forums.

Don’t forget, if you’ve got some analysis, scout reports or features brewing, be sure to visit our community section to submit your article.

The Hottest Topics

After blanking away to Crystal Palace, some are starting to reassess the 13.2m-priced Sergio Aguero’s value for money. Prior to today’s news, which confirmed that he’ll be assessed prior to facing Burnley due to a foot problem, the calls to ditch the Manchester City striker were already growing to a crescendo. With Chelsea set to roll up to the Etihad next weekend, the exodus could soon pick up pace.

For Kt_Interista the Premier League’s top goalscorer Diego Costa looks an ideal replacement, while some are also considering acquiring Harry Kane early, even though he faces a Chelsea backline seeking their seventh league clean sheet in a row this weekend.

Even Olivier Giroud, who is still in search of his first Premier League start, is in the frame to replace Aguero. Our hot topic on the Arsenal striker offered the reminder that he has scored three times in his last three cameos in the league. We also sparked a discussion on your ideal front three, that for some, includes the Frenchman.

Penalty duties may be key to choosing the best replacement for those looking to jettison Aguero. With this in mind, Sleep Talk dropped by during the week to let us know where of the Premier League’s most spot-kick happy referees will be deployed in Gameweek 13.

Those that drafted in Kane ahead of last weekend’s clash with West Ham were certainly glad that Mike Dean was in charge, according to our latest “Rough with the Smooth” round up. He awarded a spot kick to both sides with the England striker’s conversion helping to deliver an impressive 13-point haul.

For some, this season has certainly presented far more rough than smooth Gameweeks, prompting Simon Says to ask whether 2016/17 has been more or less enjoyable than previous years.

The Members Tables

Gylfi Sigurdsson was the only success on my goals imminent table last week. Click here to see the list of players looking to follow his lead in Gameweek 13.

Teams that leave their home fans depressed are the focus of Wakey’s latest table, which looks at those who concede the most chances on familiar turf.

If you’re a member and are yet to get to grips with the custom statistics tables, you can view this movie for an explanation of how they work. Also, remember to tag them so that people can find the tables with ease.

The Community Tournaments

This week saw the launch of my Millionaires league, for those like me who are in the ranking doldrums and looking to break into the top one million going into Gameweek 13. The code to join is 869-924390.

Cheesoid handed us this latest update from the Fantasy Chili Bowl group competition, which looks back at last weekend’s encounters and ahead to the second round of matches.

Elsewhere, Sahil Sud continues to lead Red Lightning’s Top 10k Any Season mini-league and has now been in the top thousand for the last six Gameweeks.

There’s also no change at the summit of the FFS Moderators and Contributors league, where Facer retains top spot.

In TorresMagic’s Last Man Standing the safety score was 25, which saw 141 players depart and 1806 remain.

If you are running a community tournament and would like the latest scores included in future Community Round Ups please email me a brief summary of the current leaders and a link to your league, spreadsheet or head to head competition, at jonty@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

Hopefully nothing as I sold him to bring in Coutinho before Kun was flagged.

Seriously I wonder if his points potential has been dented by Touré coming back. I can see him still driving the game but perhaps ending up assisting the assister more.

Ideas for this lot please? 2FTs, 0.1 itb.

    Pickford - Jakupovic
    Lovren - Brunt - Evans - Holebas - Amat
    Sanchez - Firmino - Coutinho - Walcott - Fletcher
    Aguero - Lukaku - Austin

    1. Grand Thibauto

Need a Premium Defender. But not possible without downgrading any of the forwards. Really tough call here as you also have 2 FTs.

      1. Tansey
        • 10 Years
        9 years, 3 months ago

What are you thinking, in order to not let the FT go to waste? Suppose I need to sort the GK situation, Heaton in would probably be smart but need to find funds elsewhere with the second FT.

        1. Grand Thibauto
          • 11 Years

Sanchez to Hazard as you have no Chelsea at all. But thats dangerous. Would rather Walcott to Siggy/Pedro

      • 16 Years

Wow. I want to say hold.
Really cant see a move. as you want to keep all Ars and Liv mids. Lukaku to Kane is my later thinking but Sanchez is your funds for this. Even Sanchez to Hazard isnt on this week

Even Lovren has god fixture. Let the FT roll?

      1. Grand Thibauto
        • 11 Years

Evans to another 4.5 or 4.6 don't see many WB CS even shortterm. Leaves the 2 FT for next week if you decide Kun and Lukaku need to go.

        • 13 Years

Don't like it at all. 3 good fixtures in next 4 and he even showed some attacking threat against Burnley (although who didn't 😉 ).

Think clean sheets are in the cards. They were unlyvky with conceding a single late goal in a few matches and had some tough fixtures.

Fair enough - only defence double up I would consider is Chelsea. Look how many WB CS there were before last week. That team looks nice hard to pick many holes in it.

Then i would go Sanchez >Ozil and Lukaku>Kane because it will pay off.

Stering is Sterling and hazard will probably score tomorrow but has city next week. So will Mane -4 out score Hazard this gw maybe so, this gw all about taking risks

But -16 for this isn't justified. You took risk but don't see your new picks getting more than 7 or 8 than the initial picks in the first place. And Hazard Sanchez are season keeper players as well.

Its not but getting a -16 for Hazard Sanchez, one has a terrific home form other has a great fixture, Anichebe who is in form and rising in price albeit not as good. Anyway best of luck. Looks crazy as anything

Taking out 3 of the best attacking players in PL in one round isn't a good sign in my humble opinion, but good luck.

I like the Ibra PUNT, but that attack is awful.

Mane and Firmino obviously good transfers in, although long term I prefer Coutinho. Ibra is an interesting punt, but can go both ways with tied fixtures and mixed form. Gird not nailed at all and his stats aren't sustainable either way. Siggy good punt if Swansea start showing form in their upcoming tasty fixtures.

Phillips won't be as attacking when Chadli returns. Hardy certainly hasn't been worth his price/a spot with so many other options.
Clyne isn't getting CS as their defence isn't that good, so relying on the occasional attacking return. Fuchs isn't a good option before Schmeicel is back, but hopefully they can focus a bit on PL now that they are through in CL. Alonso perfect.

      2/5

too much money invested in Gru+Vardy

Clyne and Fuchs are both on the bad side of defenders (don't know who is worse - probably Fuchs)

better picks out there than Philips and Forster imo

Yeah I agree. Wildcarded last week and Holebas + Pickford are the only players we have in common. Alonso is my fault, but getting in gw 15. Just sub average picks all over tbh.

You have gone for form players. But I think I rather the original 3 out of 5. Ibra is punty Vardy has shown nothing. Gun and Philips too weak for 4th mid spot.

    Alonso Jenkinson Stones (Holebas, Amat)
