Sanchez / Alli / Pedro / Phillips / De Roon

    Lukakau / Ibra / Giroud

    Bottomed out on old post:

    Bench headache this week:

    Pogba, Lallana, Stanislas, Phillips, Sanchez
    Defoe, Kane, Ibra

    Bench one....but which one?
Tradition is to go with the cheap players i.e. Defoe, Stanislas & Philips but both have form & fixtures
Ibra & Sanchez are captain material
Pogba has the stats but not the points yet and is a good differential
    So it's down to
Lallana or Kane on that basis and Kane has the worst fixture (only this weekends result has changed that)

    1. Sponge-worthy
      • 13 Years

Ignore price....last season people get benching Mahrez becuase he was cheap and played for Leicester....so many points on the bench.

If 'm trying to climb the ranks need to play my differentials.

        1. Sponge-worthy
          • 13 Years

I'm not looking at price here. If you are thinking of benching kane or lallana, let one of them go.

Remember when people benched Kane at home to Chelsea and he scored at hat-trick?

I would bench Defoe personally, WBA are 'due' a clean sheet (I know)

          Second choice Pogba

    5. Pasqualinho
      • 16 Years

I think he's simply trying to turn him into a more rounded player. It really isn't that much different to what Spurs do with Kane - get him to drop deep and exploit the space in behind. However it doesn't work so well at Man City because Dele Alli is much, much, much, much better player than Sterling.

Barkley and I think he would be a cute pick.

Mirallas will suffer on game time if Everton sign Depay. Or if/when Koeman thinks Lookman is ready to start. He does accrue points fast when he plays though.

The penny is beginning to drop with Barkley and I think he could have a good 2nd half of the season. A good choice, especially if you don't have Lukaku.

got a gut feeling for Barkley.
if i'm going 3-5-2 i quite fancy a player whose a differential and still has the ability to suddenly produce a flurry of big scores.
A feeling that Everton with their fixtures and that performance against City are quite capable of putting together a good run.

It was either Kane or Lukaku upfront for me and I went for Kane. So, went for Mirallas for Everton 'coverage'. I think Mirallas looked good vs Citeh and has got decent returns over the last 4 GW - 8,6,3,14. It's a punt but one worthy of the price for me.

How about neither! Great fixtures but they are a wasted future transfer for sure when you get them out. Feels like point chasing at its finest.

Which is the better option guys?

    A) Kane (I have Eriksen) + 4.9m defender
    or
    B) Lukaku (I have Baines) + Any defender (no budget)

    Thanks in advance!

Earlier people were saying Lukaku over Kane. Now people prefer Kane to Lukaku, even with a better defender with Lukaku. I prefer Kane to Lukaku as an option, but considering 4.9 def vs money no object, I'm gonna say B, Lukaku is best. - with Alonso, Azpi, Kosc, Walker or Bellerin (if fit) your best options

Some concerns with my team. Need advice.

    No keeper.
Cedric is useless even with his fixtures.
Aguero, Pep is useless but thinks he's a god. May drop him anytime. But Aguero has explosive potential as a (C).
    Benteke, same as Cedric.

    Marshall Pickford
    Alonso Holebas Cedric McAuley Amat
Sanchez Alli Phillips Can De Roon
    Aguero Ibra Benteke

    1FT, 2.2m.

    Benteke+Aguero+Marshall->>>Kane+Lukaku+Valdes/Heaton(-8)?

    Thanks.

I have Heaton but if you think the additional 0.2 or something is useful elsewhere you could get Valdes

Cedric's not useless. He's good when he plays. He got the highest bonus in Southampton last game after losing 1-0.

Not sure you need to rush Kane in against City. the hits look good, though I'd be tempted to bring in a premium def/Baines as a priority

No idea about keepers. I always go for the cheapest one. But I'm not certain it's the best tactic. Heaton certainly isn't a bad choice, is he? Haha

Trying to hold that hit...but feeling it again 😉
I think with this def i dont need Baines for now, and Kun is going anytime soon, so...

    Grant
    Alonso, Clyne, McAuley
    Sanchez (C), Alli, Philips, Stanislas
    Kun, Ibra, Giru

    Pick, De Roon, Holebas, Amat

    A) Giru to Luk (if injured)
    B) Kun to Luk
    C) Holebas to Baines (4-4-2 if giru inj)
    D) De roon to Coutinho (bench Alli?)
    D) A/B + C for the mighty hit

yes, but SWA is so juicy and Coutinho can have a great shooting practice.

I agree Coutinho is a great option v SWA, I have Lallana as my Liv cover, otherwise I may get Couts.

Mirallas is a great differential. Knows where the goal is. Great fixtures too. only thing is Koeman may rotate.
