Careering out of the international break at speed, the ScoutCast returns in anticipation of a turning point in our seasons.

We’ve been chattering for several weeks on the much anticipated “fixture swing”, and now we’re all set to put ourselves at its mercy.

What does it mean for our Fantasy line-ups?

In truth, with multiple transfers and Wildcards at our disposal, Jonty, Andy, Luke and myself started this latest episode still seeking our own answers. Over almost 90 minutes and with your community questions providing the steer, we do our best to reach some conclusions.

We weigh up Manchester United exit plans, Liverpool’s blunted attack and Jamie Vardy’s recuperation techniques, before previewing Gameweek 8 in the usual hap-hazard style.

    Been on the fence with how to use my transfers this week, so just been having a look at the City players.

    Is Jesus at 10.5m too expensive for a player you won't captain?

    Comparing Jesus's stats with Sane & Sterling, shows he may play more minutes throughout the whole season but it's not equating more points.

    Jesus (10.5m):
    Mins Played: 413, points 34.

    Sterling (7.9m):
    Mins Played: 387, points 35.

    Sane (8.3m):
    Mins Played: 316, points 37.

    But if we look at the past 4 games, Jesus has the fewest minutes and fewest points:

    Last 4 GW's:

    Jesus:
    Mins Played: 210, points 23.

    Sterling:
    Mins Played: 240, points 25.

    Sane:
    Mins played: 218, points 33.

    (Aguero Past 4: Mins played: 180, points 40. Clearly the prefered option when fit)

    Is Jesus really that good an option over Sterling and Sane, as he is more expensive and not even playing more?

        A fully fit, nailed-on, focus-point Agüero will be in everone’s team, most weeks as their captain. So that basically reduces the game to pick a squad of 14 players and not thinking about captaincy. I don’t get the Agüero love.

      People were falling over themselves to sell Jesus before Aguero crashed out. Aguero is about to crash back in.

      People forget he's still 20. Can't rely on him for explosive scored or Pep to play him for 90 minutes. I'm still not sure what type of striker he is, doesn't seem explosive or a player who can score a goal from nothing, very much looks like a poacher atm.

        I've already got him so didn't look at his stats.

        But his assured game-time makes him a nice player to have. Sane/Sterling more explosive though.

        I think their points will even out across the season, if all 3 stay fit.

      Nope. I'm considering just going with Lacazette until Morata comes back. Watford have no fit defenders, Everton are crap and Swansea likewise.
