Stats are very helpful but they dont always tell the bigger picture. Classic example can be derived from the master Doos himself.
Earlier He chose Kouyate over Payet due to better stats- That gw payet went on to score 2goals and has been clicking nicely from there
Last gw he chose Sterling over KDB due to inferior stats- KDB got a 16 pointer
Not to forget the selling of Kun before his big haul. get what im saying.Stats are useful, but more of an added consideration behind making a decision tbh

for examle im deciding to get Costa this gw. he may not have the best of stats but we know he;s a top striker and could get a nice haul his gw
I think you misunderstand the use of stats. They don't predict points and individual GW will bring large scores based purely on luck. Aguero has had more GW with 5 SoT without a single goal than 5 from 5.
I barely look at stats. The actual games and even MOTD are enough for me.
The only stats that matter are goals, assists and chances created.
Both Payet and KDB were top last season and this season. No coincidence.

I think Sturridge will be moved to the right as Pool don't have any wingers with Benteke lone striker. It'll work out IMO, Ibe is Pool's only winger so they'll need pace and experience on the flanks which Sturridge has
