As Man United approach an eye-catching run of games which could potentially see Sir Alex Ferguson’s side rack up the Fantasy returns, Wayne Rooney has staked a strong claim for consideration after bagging a brace for the second Gameweek in succession. Rooney’s stock has suffered a significant drop this season due to the arrival of Robin Van Persie but as the campaign unfolds, he’s starting to look a real differential, with many Fantasy managers even considering both forwards for a run of games which sees the Red Devils welcome Sunderland, Newcastle and West Brom to Old Trafford, in addition to trips to Swansea and Wigan in the next five:
Which is better?
a. Fletch > Defoe
b. Fletch > Berb
c Sess > Bale (if fit)
a. allows me to do wisdom > gibbs next week (keep Sess)
b. allows me to do Sess > Bale next week (keep Wisdom)
c. allows me to do Fletch to Berb next week (keep Wisdom)Open ControlsHere's hoping AJ can turn this good gameweek into a great gameweek #greed 😉
Open ControlsWith Spurs good fixtures coming up I can see the sense in investing in at least one attacking player.
Bale, if he's declared fit, is your best bet - no surprises there. He's an FPL machine, shots, headers, set-pieces you know the story.
Lennon isn't a bad bet either. Won't get Bale's returns but is nailed on as the only right winger. Not a bad second option.
Dembele plays too deep to get consistent returns.
So the real dilemma is Dempsey, Defoe or Adebayor.
It really is 3 players into 2 slots as the the rest, when fit, picks itself.
On balance Adebayor is the better player, contributes more to the teams all round play and is also the top earner at the club.
However, Dempsey is coming into form and does a lot of midfield work which is closer to becoming a 4-3-3 which AVB would prefer.
Defoe's form is insane. For all his limitations, and there are many, he scores goals that nobody else in the team would and he has improved his work-rate considerably.
So in conclusion I'd get Bale if you can with Defoe the next best option.
Thoughts?Open ControlsYeah I agree with all of that
Open ControlsDoes the fact that Bale is on 4 yellow cards deter you form him? Is dempsey a better alternative until January because of it?
Open ControlsNo and No
Open Controls***deter your FROM him???
Open ControlsAs far as I've seen Bale is mostly getting pointless yellows from whining etc. No reason he can't go until the new year without getting booked again. I might get him next week if he's fit, should be a good player to have over the busy Christmas period.
Open ControlsSlightly. He doesn't need to get another yellow though - by which I mean if he stops diving like a tit and backchatting there is a fairly small chance he'll miss a game.
Open Controls
Agree - for now. 🙂
Open ControlsWhat about Caulker? 😉
Yeah good summary. The xmas period would make me wary of going for Dempsey because of Siggy and the ease of rotation. I'd like to see some more games to say for sure that Dempsey is nailed on and that Defoe and Ade will play always now.Open ControlsI can do a defensive post as well if you want?
You can't fit them all in the same team and you can't really drop Defoe (you can rest him though - he's no spring chicken).Open ControlsYeah why not...but in your own time obviously. I'm pretty keen on Caulker but obviously there is a risk involved.
Open Controls
Yep. Re Defoe and Ade, what makes us think avb won't drop Defoe for Ade again regardless of form? I believe he has already done that once against city.
Defoe is very hard done by. Does his job very, very well.Open ControlsDoes the fact that Adabayor is the top earner at the club really make him a better option?
Open ControlsDon't Citeh pay a huge chunk of his wages anyway to knock goals in for another club?
Just where does his loyalties (cash and otherwise) lie? Hmmmm....Open ControlsMakes him less likely to be benched long-term, so yes.
Open Controls
Agree. Waiting for Bale myself. I'll only want to swap to him anyway.
Open Controls
Right. That's it! Sold! Kerr-chinggg!!! 😀
Keep the change. 😉Open ControlsDo you think my defence is acceptable til Jan WC? Lost stupidly from last page lol
Begovic / Bunn
Nastasic / Shorey / Nelsen / Cuellar / Demel
Mata / Bale / Fellaini / Nolan / Puncheon
Suarez / Rooney / Van PersieOpen ControlsTheir all good should the fixture list be kind to you....Nastasic is the only one I'd be confident plying away from home so you gotta check how they match up over the coming GWs
Open Controls
This is my team. I have two free transfers and £1.4m in the bank. I'm really happy with my midfield but do want Fellaini. And not very happy with my defence, especially Cuellar and Enrique now he's not OOP. What would you do?

Foster
Cuellar

Enrique
Clyne

Need 3 to play next week, what would be the best moves? £7.1mOpen ControlsAre you aware that Puncheon and Clyne wont play since Sot has no match this GW?
Open Controls
Can you guys RMT?
Tremmel and Bego
Shorey, Nelsen, Sagna, Clyne and Baines
Bale, Michu, Fellaini, Puncheon and Sterling
RVP, Racist and Pig
This week i've made Fletcher -> Rooney and Cuellar -> SagnaOpen ControlsLooks great, wanting the same front line! You must have a decent team value
Open Controls106 something.
But made few mistakes that could give much more value like selling Michu Fellaini and Rvp and buy them back later.Open Controls
RVP, Racist and Pig - It sounds like a TV pilot on Fox!

Chaps. Do I need to get rid of Gorkss this week or can I save my transfer?Open ControlsROONEY IN HIS BOOK 'MY DECADE IN PREMIER LEAGUE' -
"If there is one team that I want to beat this season it will be Sunderland. When fixtures come out I look for 3 games - City, Liverpool and Everton. This time I even checked the Sunderland game. I don't know whether I will play the previous games before it, I just want to play against Sunderland."
Well Well Well, Beware Sunderland !
Very very tempting to bring in Rooney 🙁Open Controlswhat does he have against Sunderland? 😐
Open ControlsLast game of the season when Sunderland fans celebrated Aguero's goal!!
Open ControlsI was celebrating Aguero's goal...and it wasn't because I don't like Man Utd! Jeez that's a bit of a silly grudge but fair enough
Open ControlsIt's catching. Now I hold a grudge against you.
Open ControlsDid you celebrate RVP signing for United? 😉
Open ControlsThe Aguero goal was a televisual spectacle to behold. No hard feelings, it just was berserk and worth celebrating...most will agree.
Open Controls
I saw this before but thought, maybe he'll just try too hard and drop deep and just end up feeding RVP.
Could be a massacre though. RVP & Roon could both outscore Suarez given Liverpool rarely put many past anyone.Open Controls
Looking for a cheap midfield option until Jan. I already have Puncheon so was thinking SWP! Is this a crazy move? Looks like Harry likes him as two 90mins in a row plus decent fixtures?

Open Controls
Walcott to michu and long to Suarez worth a hit?
Other strikers are RVP and berb...Open ControlsAfternoon Gentlemen...
In your esteemed opinions, who do you think will score more points between now and the Winter WC...?
A. RVP/Suarez/Berba
B. Rooney/Suarez/Tevez (this option comes with a -4 hit)
Current front 3 is RVP/Tevez/BerbaOpen ControlsPretty close IMO. Looking at the conversion rates for RVP and Rooney, I'm thinking A will edge it.
Open ControlsI guess there's also option C... which is leave it as it is too... I'm not comfortable with the idea of losing either RVP or Tevez...
Open Controls
B I think if Tevez gets enough game time.
Open ControlsThat's the million dollar question - if he was absolutely nailed on then i wouldn't be entertaining the idea of swapping him for Suarez...
Open Controls
A. Why? All three are about as nailed on for starts over Xmas as you can get.
Open ControlsA good point, thanks mate...
Open Controls
So:
Foster
Mertesacker, O’Brien, Gallas
Michu, Santi Cazorla, Sidwell, Fellaini
Van Persie(c), Rooney, Defoe(vc)
Subs:Begovic; Shorey, Sessegnon, Cuellar
What do you think? 🙂Open ControlsVery nice indeed 🙂
Open ControlsVery nice! Sidwell looked good last night, flair pick
Open ControlsCheers, guys! 🙂
Open Controls
Sidwell? Interesting. Are you succumbing to the double up?
Open ControlsI am so! 🙂

You did RVP -> Rooney, Doos? Interesting.

I gotta get rid of Hazard, so the question is should i gamble with Valencia or Young, or gamble od Dempsey at least till Bale gets well?

Cuellar and Sterling -> Sagna and Puncheon?
Is Puncheon that good?Open ControlsIs the obvious move Lambert->Suarez? (which will mean gaining coin elsewhere like downgrading a defender like Macaulay?)
Jaas Federici
Rafael Enrique Macauley Garrido Clyne
Michu Fellaini Bale Sterling Puncheon
RvP Ba Lambert
1FT 3.9mOpen ControlsVote for best differential this next 2, maybe 3 weeks:
A. Dempsey (since Bale is inj + in form)
B. Valencia (good fixtures, sure starter imo and gotta start producing)
C. A.Young (good fixtures, maybe in better for than Vale)
D. Yaya Toure (sure starter, gotta start doing smthng or shity is going down)
E. Some1 else
What u think ?Open Controls- Bale might be back this weekend.
- Valencia is a sure starter where as Young is not. However Young's been producing lately and would even have had a goal vs City were it not for linesman. Also, Kagawa might comeback sooner than we think.
I'd go for Valencia probably because United's fixtures are great.Open Controls
Newcastle v City predictions?
Will City bounce back, or shrivel up into a ball? If Tevez and Aguero starts, City could do some damage in this match. Who is going without City cover?Open ControlsTiote will kick them to Hell and back. Then Anita will whup their sorry arses. 😉
Open ControlsTiote is awful so far this season.
Open Controls
City always get a few goals there
Open ControlsIf they dont win Mancini might start looking for a new club to coach IMO. Not many positive results this season in Europe and losing at home to his main rivals mght justcost him his job since dropping points one more time with THAT kind of budget is ...

Even tho he wasn't much of an FPl gold mine here's some news regarding Liverpool's Borini
"The foot is very good and on Monday I see the surgeon to sort out the screws and see if they are taken out or not. On 26 December, I'll be back in Liverpool.
"I feel strong, I'm working a lot on the other muscles. I'll start working on my ankle and foot, which is better, and my calf is a lot better. The foot always responds very well so that's confident."
Borini should be back in action by the time Liverpool resume their Europa League campaign in February.Open ControlsCheers. A friend told me, I don't know how accurately, that Borini always has this pattern of injuring himself around October, returning in January and smashing it from there on in.
