We’re all still in the dark over the situation with Henrik Larsson. The Daily Mail are the latest to report that his Swedish club, Helsingborg, will not object to United’s request at extending his loan until the end of the season [source] . Currently Larsson is due to return to Helsingborg on March 12.

While this might not tempt managers who have yet to invest in Larsson to think otherwise, it certainly has an impact on the likely rotation of forwards at Old Trafford. Saha’s injuries have already seen him fade in popularity after his early season form and, with the Champions League occupying United, it’s likely that Larsson’s continued presence would have an impact on Saha’s future appearances, regardless of Saha’s fitness. Larsson may also offer Fergie more opportunity to rest Rooney.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
