Just as Paul Jewell found his rag, he’s gone and lost it again. Today Wigan were told their appeal against Fitz Hall’s red card against Watford had failed despite the TV evidence suggesting that the player had been on the wrong end of a harsh decision [source]. Hall, will now miss Sunday’s game at home to Newcastle. David Unsworth is the likely replacement at right-back with Boyce and Jackson continuing their pairing in the centre. Does the disruption make Martins a better bet? Maybe, if he plays, then Duff will fancy giving Unsworth an uncomfortable afternoon that’s for sure. Hall will also sit out the games against Manchester City and Fulham.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
