While I don’t plan to cover Cup games on my team news page, given that there are plenty of Fantasy games out there that include FA Cup scoring, I thought I’d be kind and throw you some pointers for tomorrow’s replays…
Manchester United vs Reading
United are reportedly about to turn to their fringe players for tomorrow night’s replay with the likes of Giggs, Scholes, Van de Saar, Larsson and maybe Ronaldo set to be rested. Vidic is also out with a knock suffered in the Fulham game on Saturday. So you can expect to see Park, O’Shea, Fletcher, Silvestre and Saha in tomorrow night’s lineup. Neville could also miss out again with Ferguson continuing with Brown at right-back. Alan Smith is also set to feature on the bench [source]
Predicted lineup: Kuzsczak, Brown, Silvestre, Ferdinand, Heinze, Fletcher, O’Shea, Carrick, Park, Rooney, Saha
Reading are likely to turn to their FA Cup lineup with Federeci in goal, De La Cruz coming in at the back and Oster, Gunnarsson and Seol Ki-Hyeon drafted into midfield. Up front, it’s likely that Kitson will get a start having looked lively against Boro as sub. Reading also welcome back Bikey to the centre of their defence after serving suspension but both Duberry and Halford are cup tied.
Predicted lineup: Federici, De La Cruz, Bikey, Ingimarsson, Shorey, Oster, Sidwell, Gunnarsson, Little, Seol, Kitson
West Brom vs Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough have a doubt over Schwarzer’s fitness for tomorrow nights tough-looking replay. He is expected to shake off a back injury to play but Xavier, who missed the Reading game on Saturday, has not recovered from his hamstring injury and definitely misses out. Viduka could be rested but I just think it’s unlikely given Boro’s season is at stake in this game, so I expect Lee to have to wait for his full debut.
Predicted lineup: Schwarzer, Davies, Woodgate, Pogatetz, Taylor, Cattermole, Boateng, Arca, Downing, Viduka, Yakubu
