I’ve updated the Stats Selection section with full tables for the Fantasy Premier League game. Some interesting stats to be found, certainly some of the game’s player values seem a little odd – £9 million for Robben and Joe Cole? Cole’s return will vastly improve and Robben could also if he stays injury free (big if), but both will surely be rotated throughout the season and at £9 million they are rated higher than the likes of Arteta, Gamst-Pedersen and Essien who all outscored them heavily last season. Even stranger is the fact that Ballack is priced at £8.5 the same as Arteta and more than Gamst-Pedersen. Surely he’s destined for fewer games now Joe Cole is fit and Sidwell has signed? Ballack is also set to undergo more surgery on his ankle so could miss the start of the season so his value will drop through the floor once the game starts because he’ll have few takers at that price.
