Nemanja Vidic is back in the United squad for their Champions League clash with Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday. Vidic missed out of United’s game at Villa on Saturday after suffering concussion against Wigan a fortnight ago. He’s is not guaranteed to make the lineup but has travelled to Kiev.
“I’m hopeful he will be ready. In his situation you can’t take a chance – he will be close but I’m not so sure he will be ready to play” remarked Ferguson today.
Vidic seems set to return to United’s lineup for their Premiership clash with Boro on Saturday. That’s a match that could also see a return for Gary Neville with United scheduling matches for the full-back to build his fitness following injury.
According to Ferbuson: “Gary is doing very well, he’s not far away now. He just needs games. We’ve had a couple of practice matches this week which he’s been involved in.”
Neville’s return would cast doubts over the Fantasy value of Wes Brown who is likely to find his appearances cut severely barring further injuries to the United back four.
