All the team news going into the weekend’s games is being collected and posted here as normal. I’ll be updating my Scout Picks this evening but the Shortlist rankings in the right-hand menu have already been updated with my current thinking.

First impressions – Eboue looks a decent buy this week. He looks certain to play with Arsenal’s injuries in midfield so he could contribute some assists at last, plus he could well be on to a clean sheet against Wigan. Talking of clean sheets – it’s hard to look beyond City at home to Reading and Chelsea at Derby despite Grant’s defensive shuffles. In midfield, Bentley and Barry get promoted in every managers thinking due to the double game week. Similarly up front, Agbonlahor looks very tempting along with McCarthy. Surely Drogba will boost his goal tally at Derby though?

As for a FPL captain, outside of the double gameweek players – it has to be Lampard for me. Chelsea should find goals, Lampard could well be amongst them. Even a victory and a clean sheet should reward him with three points plus some bonus.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
