Birmingham have confirmed that James McFadden’s keyhole surgery on a knee injury was a success although boss McCleish has revealed that his striker will be sidelined for at least another three weeks [source].
“Hopefully now he’ll be back in two or three weeks but we’ll be guided by Neil McDiarmid (the chief physio) and his team,” remarked McCleish.
He’ll look to have McFadden back for the Derby with Villa on April 20. In the meantime it seems likely that Zarate will get matches against City, Wigan and Everton as opportunities to prove himself in the Premiership.
