The Telegraph Fantasy Football (TFF) has launched for the new season – rivalling the Fantasy League Classic game for your registration fees.
Like the Fantasy Premier League Game, it appears that there have been no amendments made to the rules there is however, one notable new arrival. The Telegraph have pulled a major coup by, quite unbelievably, offering a cool £1 million prize. I’ve read the small print and is authentic, the only catch is that to win the prize you’ll need to pick an initial squad that is the closest to the “Perfect XI” at the end of the season. A snapshot of your team is taken on day one of the season so transfers after that point will not affect your entry. The manager of the side closest to the best possible eleven by the end of the season becomes a millionaire. In addition to the big money, a prize pot of over £100,000 is on offer with £50,000 going to the winner.
The Telegraph are the latest game to classify Ashley Young as a midfielder and, not surprisingly, he’s been a popular choice as a result. Boro’s Alves also looks undervalued in this game at £5.3 and it appears this has been noted, with the striker currently sitting third in the “most picked” rankings behind Torres and Van Persie. Fabregas is currently the most selected player in this game with almost 35% of managers buying him in. It’s a similar story in the FPL with a staggering 45% of managers selecting the Arsenal man. Significantly Ronaldo is struggling in the Telegraph, ranked sixth with just over 14% taking the bait.
