Everton have made the first of what is expected to be several signings this week by sealing a deal for Danish international Lars Jacobsen from FC Nuremburg.

Jacobsen is a right back and will provide cover in that position while Hibbert remains sidelined. That’s expected to be for another 6 weeks according to reports today. The Dane could go straight into the side against Everton this weekend if his international clearance arrives, allowing Neville to cover a midfield role.

Stephane M’bia, Jose Moutinho, Nikola Zigic, Albert Riera and Shaun Wright-Phillips are all reportedly on Moyes’ shopping list as he attempts to resurrect the Goodison club.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
