The Injuries and Bans table and the Team News section have now been fully updated with the latest from around the grounds and various news sources.

Much of this was reported in yesterday’s post match summary of injuries and bans but in case you missed that, here’s the essential highlights you need…

Ferdinand and Laursen both miss out having been declared as sidelined by their respective bosses for a number of weeks. Ferdinand will likely return after the FA Cup tie, possibly in the Carling Cup, if not then for the crucial Premier League clash with Chelsea. Laursen meanwhile, is out for a month and possibly more if surgery is required.

Blackburn’s David Dunn has been ruled out for around 3-4 weeks after suffering a hamstring injury against Sunderland. Ryan Nelsen picked up an eye injury in that one and is a doubt for tomorrow’s home game with City.

There are slight injury doubts surrounding the likes of Sunderland’s Richardson, Wigan’s Ryan Taylor, Bolton’s Gary Cahill, Fulham’s Jimmy Bullard and Man City’s Caicedo and Richards.

Portsmouth and Newcastle look the worst struck following the Boxing Day fixtures. Kinnear lost Viduka, Enrique and Beye to injury, while Martins and Ameobi have also been ruled out according to the Magpies boss. Tony Adam’s meanwhile, saw Kaboul and Utaka aggravate injuries in training so they are out of the Emirates game along with Traore who is ineligible.

West Ham’s Bellamy is suspended for the home game with Stoke tomorrow so all those managers who lept on his fast-moving bandwagon, are in for an early disappointment for what could have been a decent points haul against Pulis’ side. Newcastle’s Bassong is also banned tomorrow (although not for three matches as I mistakingly reported yesterday), as is Stoke’s Wikinson. Lee Cattermole is not suspended for the trip to Bolton as far as I can see, despite numerous reports suggesting he is. He earned his fifth booking of the season against Newcastle and will therefore miss the FA Cup tie against Spurs next Friday.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
