The Fantasy season looks guaranteed to take a major swing in the final few weeks, after Man United were handed a double fixture in gameweek 36. United’s away fixture with Wigan, postponed from gameweek 33 due to the FA Cup semi-finals will now be played on May 13, slotting nicely into gameweek 36.

United’s two games in that gameweek see them take on local rivals City at Old Trafford four days earlier. Wigan meanwhile, face West Brom at the Hawthorns in addition to the United clash.

There will now be major investment in United players approaching gameweek 36. The shift towards Ronaldo for the final few weeks seems inevitable, given the potential points he offers as such a vital stage in the fantasy season. We’ve six gameweeks to go before we need to worry about the possibilities this fixture change brings. However, given the price of the United players, many fantasy managers will be hatching their plans now.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
