Well, gameweek three came and went in a flash, the football season is just rolling by at an uncompromising pace. We had our first draw of the season (unsurprisingly in the game between Birmingham and Stoke), the Spurs train has kept going at full speed (with many thanks to Carlton Cole) and Manchester United have silenced the ever so hasty critics with a 5-0 rout away at Wigan. But really, what does any of that matter? We’ve got the Scout Leagues to cover…

Fantasy Football Scout League (Fantasy Premier League)

Unsurprisingly at this early stage we have a new face at the top of the Scout League this week, already passing the 200 point mark (sigh, sure makes my team seem somewhat stilted…) we have Daniel Galante scoring a highly commendable 68 points this week and a 201 total. Despite captaining Gerrard for a meagre 4 point total Mr Galante’s team stormed up the charts with the help of the potent strikeforce of Rooney & Drogba – not a bad week! Small mention once again to rez-rez for keeping faith in Berbatov this week where many others didn’t (0.2 price drop already!? what’s going on with that?) making another inspired captain choice and shooting up to 4th in the Scout League currently.

Fantasy Football Scout League (Can You Kick It)

Only slight changes at the peak of the CYKI Scout League in this gameweek, last weeks leader Ian has kept himself right in the chase with a drop from first to third, but not resting on his laurels we must put our hands together this week for Slinky Cabbage. Not content with a second place spot last week, the regular poster to the site has now staked his claim at the top of the table, long may it continue. But be warned, there are plenty of recognised faces of your tail, I notice Luke, djman102 & our very own master of tweets Greek Fan all in the top 15 and within touching distance of a strong challenge.

FFS H2H 1

Changes afoot once more at the top of the first Head to Head league. We only have two managers left with an unbeaten record after only three games, Greek Fan continues to impress in second place but the new leader is our American compatriot Brian Phelps, otherwise known as BPFC to you and me. His victory in this league is also of note as being amongst 5 of 10 fixtures which were decided inside a five point margin. Jimi was the most unlucky manager here this week missing out to Sojourners in a very close matchup, losing 43-42. Granville prevented any slump forming with a hard fought victory over Foch this week for his first 3 points, and site runner Mark showed his class and calm with a victory over some chap called Andy, never heard of him myself but I sense great things to comefrom him.

FFS H2H 2

Continuing his dominance of this league, our administrator Dick Fran Dyke has racked up his third victory and held the top spot with a rather comfortable victory over site enigma Fran (her lack of strikers is really showing now). JWF and dadoune30 also deserve honourable mentions for keeping Dick Fran Dyke on his toes In keeping their 100% records in tact. No-one got an outstanding weekly score in this league, but nobody had an equally depressing score either – it looks like the managers in this league could be very closely matched through the coming season.

FFS H2H 3

Still continuing his reign of terror, we have Hammer Time holding on to top spot by just a mere 1 point ‘goal difference’ ahead of adz. A score of 58 (profiting from Kenwyne Jones where we have all been on the Darren Bent bandwagon) was enough to see off Just One More Thing. Just One More Thing himself got an admirable 52 points which would have been enough to beat 14 of the other teams in his league this week – your first points are surely right around the corner. Dribbler joins the clan of unbeaten managers so far with a victory over Luke this week too, but as previously mentioned – I’m sure Luke won’t mind as he is pushing on up the CYKI league at the moment.

FFS H2H 4

We have another manager unwillingly to relent their grasp of the top spot here too, Sasquatch and his previously mentioned (and brilliantly titled) team Get Defoe Kuyt are the only team left with a record of 3 victories in 3 games, building a gap at the top already. Rice and sauce mogul Uncle Ben is the manager most deserving of the arm around the shoulder award this week, losing his matchup to Donnylad by a mere 1 point difference, the food magnate is still waiting for his first Head to Head victory – hopefully it will come soon, though the opposition certainly isn’t getting any easier.

FFS H2H 5

Two assumed site readers (Hi there guys, come join the banter…) Juha Hornbord and Il Phenomeno are the only folks left unbeaten at the top of the table in our fifth and final mini Head to Head league. Despite racking up the mouth watering score of 196 the aforementioned rez-rez has to settle for third place thanks to a first week defeat. Finally the easiest victory award goes to another league administrator (oh come on!), Lovely Camel racked up a highly impressive gameweek 3 score of 68 to romp to victory over chinmusic – well done my hump heavy friend.

FFS H2H Reserve League

Still chock filled with highly gifted managers (we’ll get to that bit later), the Reserve League obviously looks like the toughest one out there. X-Ray Dog has lost both of his Scout top spots, and has been replaced by Matt Taylor at the top of the tree here. Not even having the comic grace to select his namesake (probably wise given Boltons form) Matt has jumped to the top of the Reserve League with three wins and a mammoth score of 200 overall. Now Matt, congratulations are in order without a doubt – but we at the Scout have a favour to ask you and any other managers in this here league. We are trying to see if the classic Fantasy Football Scout League can retain it’s crown as the best league in the world, and with your score we’d love you and everyone else to join the league and help us to achieve our goal of fantasy football domination. The league code is: 6664-4991.

And there we go folks, hopefully your name will be cropping up on these here shores soon if they haven’t already yet – with 35 gameweeks left to go there is certainly plenty of time for us all to try and fix our teams on get to the top of the leagues. One last report to follow next week and then we take a two week break from our league endeavours while we enjoy the international fixtures and try and suss out all of the deadline day transfers.
