With the final of The Fantasy Football Scout Cup, sponsored by Paddy Power, to look forward to this weekend, here is a the round-up of how the semi-finals panned out, plus details of how to get involved in the build-up for the final…

The first semi saw donnellyc prevail over Barkerov 85-72 in gameweek 13, thanks in no small part to Jermaine Defoe’s massive haul. Both captained Rooney, choosing not to back a double gameweek player with captaincy. Barkerov now has to turn his attention to his 3rd place play-off this weekend to secure a £50 prize, whereas donnellyc has guaranteed himself at least £100.

Also competing for the additional £100 is Breakballartist, who beat Poshleftme 65-45 in the second semi-final. Stephen Hunt’s performance along with some handy clean sheets saw Breakballartist home.

Appropriate then, given our sponsors Paddy Power, that we have an all-Ireland final. The stakes are high, with the winner pocketing £200 plus a £25 free bet, with the runner-up getting £100. Barkerov and Poshleftme are left to tussle it out for a consolation £50 prize.

Now then, after our interviews with the semi-finalists, some of you indicated that you would have liked the opportunity to submit questions yourself. So, if you have any questions for either of the finalists (or both), then please email me at akers@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk by Wednesday, and I’ll pass the best ones on and publish an article with their responses.
