The fourth round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup II, sponsored by Paddy Power, saw thirty-two fantasy managers progress to the middle round of cup. To see who exactly made the cut, click here. For a round-up of a few select highlights read on…

Mr. Top Score, NBJ, clearly had an off-week this gameweek, as he could only muster the joint-eighth top score  for the round. His score of 69 was good enough to beat jezstatham however, who’s 63 was the highest score not good enough to progress. NBJ continues his streak of green arrows, and now finds himself in the top 50 of the world.

Many will be glad NBJ’s run of top-scores is all over. None more so than GLAD ALL OVER who, with a score of 82, becomes the second prize winner of the competition. His 37-point victory over CptKato, earns him a free £25 bet courtesy of Paddy Power.

Whilst that was the tie with the largest margin of victory, there were four ties decided by a single point. Fabio1102, BonusPolice, Steve and Louie were the managers taking the one-point wins.

Closer still was the 52 – 52 draw between Mighty and Rowlands. Not only could they not be split on their gameweek scores, but they both sit on the same number of points overall. Separated only by number of transfers, Rowlands is in the next round.

The tie with the highest aggregate score saw Little Lukin beat silentlosers 74 – 61. At the opposite end of the aggregate table, bassline1234’s narrow 38 – 36 victory over Burton is at the bottom. Bassline1234 progresses into the fifth round with the lowest score of all the remaining fantasy managers this gameweek.

In what was arguably the rounds glamour tie, Morrissey1986 saw off dbronaldo 61 – 52 to reach the last thirty-two.

The big upset of the round saw williamkilcoyne eliminate the highest ranked fantasy manager in the competition, SammyC. It was 431,506th in the world taking on the 5th in the world, with the underdog prevailing 64 – 43. The new highest ranked fantasy manager in the competition is once again MrsVorheesLilBoy, who is 3rd in the world. He navigated his way into the fifth round after a comfortable 72 – 48 win over chinmusic.

There is just one Scout Contributor left in the competition after I’m Not Marshal Foch beat Jonny 58 – 49, and Granville was defeated 48 – 41 by Squerly4568.

The draw for the fifth round will be made shortly, and the full set of fixtures will be made available tomorrow.
