You can’t beat the bookies apparently so it stands to reason that they present a decent barometer when it comes to our Fantasy selections.
Here’s another proposed regular then, linking in with our good friends and partners Paddy Power, in which I hand you a run-down of their odds relevant to our Fantasy lineups going into the weekend, together with a couple of Scout markets thrown in for those who are inclined to a flutter and can legally down a pint…
Who Will Keep A Clean Sheet?
Anyone who thinks that my Scout Picks are influenced by the bookies odds needs to have a gander at these odds. Admittedly Paddy fancies Everton at home to Fulham, but I can’t say I totally agree with their take on Chelsea and Villa’s chances of a clean sheet this weekend. While they are a decent bet, I see Stoke causing a threat to the Chelsea rearguard that’s lacking John Terry’s presence. As for Villa, they face a Birmingham side who are out of form but will surely put up a fight in the local derby. I’m seeing 2-1 in both games. Click here for a closer look at this market.
- Team/Odds

- Liverpool 2.30
- West Ham 2.40
- Wolves 2.50
Anytime Goalscorer
Didier Drogba sounds as though he is in line to start against Stoke and if he does, he’s likely to do some damage before Ancelotti considers his withdrawal. Paddy’s odds are fair enough then, although I’m surprised to see Lampard ranking over Rooney here. Robin Van Persie is surely to big a risk to consider in Fantasy terms, despite Paddy’s strong odds on him registering against City. It’s interesting that both Tevez and Adebayor are given long odds in comparison. Click here for a closer look at this market.

The Scout Markets
As you know by now, each week I bring you a couple of special organised markets to link in with my Scout Picks selection. The Clean Sheet Accumulator allows you to back a selection of sides for a cleanie over the coming gameweek and this time around you can get 7/1 on Bolton, Liverpool and Chelsea earning shut-outs in the gameweek.
The Scout Picks selection meanwhile offers 10/1 on Mikel Arteta, Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney all scoring one or more goals over the gameweek fixtures.
If you new to Paddy Power, you can open an account with them via this site and earn a free £20 when you register and make a £10 bet. Click here to get some of that action.
As always, these markets and this offer is only open to those aged 18 or over.
