With four teams participating in upcoming double game weeks, there’s perhaps a chance that many Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers may overlook players with a very favourable single fixture that could, potentially, see them rack up more points than a player with two games.

One such player is Birmingham City’s Cameron Jerome. Playing at home to a deflated and just-relegated Burnley side still licking their wounds over the drubbing dished out by Liverpool that consigned them to the Championship, Jerome will be looking to add to his current tally of ten goals before the season is over.

Alex McLeish’s side come into the match nursing a heavy sense of injustice following their recent derby defeat to Aston Villa and will be looking at a home tie with Brian Laws’ side as the perfect tonic for a pick-up.

In the sixteen league games since Brian Laws took charge, Burnley have yet to chalk up a single clean sheet, and have conceded more than two goals six times, suggesting the chances of Brian Jensen remaining unbeaten this weekend are virtually non-existent.

Granted, Birmingham have been less than prolific this season, but Jerome has scored twice as many goals as their second-top scorer and is also joint second-top with assists, illustrating why, in terms of points per game in FPL, he is second only to Joe Hart this term at St Andrews.

He has proved himself against high-calibre opponents, with a goal and three Bonus Points at home to Man Utd, as well as netting against the likes of Liverpool, Everton and Man City in the league this term. With that in mind, Burnley’s visit will have him brimming with confidence as Big Eck looks to finish a fantastic season on a high.

Jerome comes in at a mere £4.7m, and is owned by 7% of FPL managers. The final gameweek sees Birmingham travel to Bolton, giving Jerome another chance to sign off a highly successful campaign in suitable style.
