With most of the action kicking off at 3pm on Saturday – for a change – we are left with one fixture this afternoon to sate our appetites while we wait for our roast dinners; Birmingham play host to Liverpool.

Alex McCleish continues with the same 4-5-1 set up and team that played at Bolton last week while Paul Konchesky makes his Liverpool debut (deposing Daniel Agger) and Maxi Rodriguez is drafted into midfield in place of the injured Dirk Kuyt, Liverpool’s other new signing Raul Meireles is only good enough for the bench.

Oh, and Jean Beausejour is nowhere to be seen, not even on the bench. The line-ups in full are…

Birmingham XI: Foster; Carr, Johnson, Dann, Ridgewell; Larsson, Ferguson, Bowyer, Gardner, McFadden; Jerome

Liverpool XI: Reina; Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Konchesky; Maxi, Poulsen, Lucas, Jovanovic Gerrard; Torres

The Dugout Discussion is already open and awaiting your chat, it’s time to cheer on Señor Torres for me.
