With the Members area now several months into its existence, we’re about to enter a new phase that will see further development work taking place. This will add an array of new features and also marks the end of the early season offer price of £12.50. From Sunday 17th October the fee for Membership will revert to the standard price £20.

So, if you’re yet to sign up as a Member you have just over a week to get in at the offer price of £12.50.

You can view the current benefits here or watch the a YouTube movie we’ve put together, handing you a preview of the current features on offer.

In addition to the current crop of features, Phase Two of the Members area will bring a host of new offerings. Here’s a glimpse at some of the stuff currently on the development list…

  • View all Opta stats by Gameweek – Filter Player and Team statistics for a single gameweek.
  • View all Opta stats by Gameweek Range – Filter Player and Team statistics for a range of gameweeks. So, for example, you can use this facility to view Arsenal’s data over a range of Gameweeks with or without Cesc Fabregas. Custom filters such as this will be supplied as suggestions.
  • View all Opta stats for Home/Away fixtures – Filter player data by Home and Away fixtures to find those players who perform best on the road and those who only produce for home fixtures.
  • View all Opta stats against specific opponents/group of opponents – View those players and teams who raise their game against the cream and the “flat-track bullies” who always produce against the bottom four.
  • New Player and Team Tables – New calculation tables will provide new key data for each position. For example you’ll be able to view stats such as Goal Attempts per minute/start, Crosses per minute/start to help analyse player performance.
  • Revised Player Projections – The new Projection tables will utilise the Opta data to “project” Fantasy returns based on performance stats such as Goals Attempts, Key Passes, Successful Crosses, as well as key Fantasy data such as Goals, Assists and Clean Sheets. This data will be cross referenced with Team statistics and data from previous seasons to create Player Projections that will automatically update each week.

All this goodness is in the works and we’re looking to deliver it in stages over the next few months. I will bring you more on the timescales involved in these features soon. Of course, all our current Members will have access to these features until their Memberships expire at the end of the season.

In addition to the above, Pure Olivia has continued his superb work on the Members Season Ticker and we currently have some exciting new features in test that will once again, hand Members extra tools to help with fixture analysis. We will bring you some more details once our testing stage is complete – I may even produce another movie to take you through the feature set.

If you’re yet to sign up and you want to upgrade your registration to a Member before the price rise then click here. Those without a Fantasy Football Scout account can get one here and subscribe as a Member.

Remember, the current price of £12.50 rises to £20 on Sunday 17th October.

For those who are unable or just don’t wish to use the Paypal payment system for Membership, you can now send cheques and postal orders to the following addresss…

Fantasy Football Scout Payment Centre
17 Wilmar Close
Uxbridge
Middlesex
UB8 1AS

Cheques should be made payable to “Fantasy Football Scout Ltd”.

Please be sure to register a “Free” account first and include your username and the email address you used to sign up with with your payment.

Once we receive your payment your account will be upgraded to a Member and you will be sent an email confirmation.

Is there any way that you can change the default starting line-up for your side, and the formation too?

It's just a bit of a hassle making exactly the same changes before every single match...

I'm quite liking their original formation, with Ronaldo on the right, Ozil on the left and Kaka down the centre, and Diarra instead of Khediera.
I'll give your suggestion a bash though. I basically just use the wings, in a Real Stoke kinda of way, Jamsie P hates it. 🙂

And if you're being Chelsea, (just in case), even though 4-3-3 is good in real life, 4-1-2-1-2 is the way forward 🙂
You just need to find a decent right sided mid.

Please be kind enough not to flood this forum with invitations to play the FIFA game on PS3, and your latest updated scores etc.

I'm sure you can find a way of contacting each other without wasting most members times with this stuff.

Either that or start another forum called Fantasy FIFA PS3 Online Football or all agree to join one of the existing forums.

As far as I understand it, then Fabs price is protected from falling for 6-7 days after any yellow or red flags are removed (which happened yesterday). So he will not fall in the next 5-6 days but he could rise.

Well my midfield and forward line, after trades, is going to look like this:

          Mine:

          Fabregas,Malouda,Bale,Toure,Albrighton

          Drogba,Tevez,Carroll

I still think Carroll > Odemwingie with the coming fixtures.

If I have enough cash spare, I will consider:

          Albrighton -> Adam, or
          Carroll -> Elmander

When I put Carroll > Odemwingie, I meant I think Carroll will do better than Odemwingie as he has better fixtures imo. (I didnt mean I'm making that transfer..oops)

Toure -> Adam is a possibility, I will look into their fixtures now but I know MCY have a kind run, not sure on BLP.

Nice midpark - currently the same as mine!

The defence allows you a very decent forward line.

Only thing is, there may be few cs around with your defence.

My fab five are: Mumster Alcaraz ShawX Enrique Salcido. All carry attacking potential with cs opportunities.

I do prefer your defence, but how are you affording that (I assume your front 3 are not as expensive as mine above)?

My tactic would be pretty much Kolarov, Mummy every week with the other defender the best of the 4m three on fixture.

I am thinking Albrighton instead of Adam and then I can get Shawcross in for one of my 4m above.

WTF? They have had 1 clean sheet. And he has never scored a goal. £4.8m for a west ham defender. I am not sure I would want him at £3.8m. Wouldn't surprise me if thatwaa their only clean sheet all season. Green got MOTM in one report I read - at home to a toothless fulham!

I notice there's a distinct lack of Darren Bent in nearly every posters team. No one in my mini league has him either. They all have combo's of Drogba, Berbatov and Carroll.

I reckon I may get him in for Carroll as a differential now then. Cheaper than Tevez and Berbs, on pens and not subject to rotation.

That'd give me a front line of Drogs, Odemwingie and Bent and allow me to get Fabs and still keep Malouda and Nani.

Also think Elmo is a must now. Thinking of Elmo for Alex or Konchesky.

    What do you guys think?

The problem I have with players like Bent (and more so Tevez) is that while they will regularly score points, they are pretty uninspiring. Puts me off.

I'd say Tevez > Bent > Berba > Carroll for points this season though, so he seems a thoroughly decent option.

True, but he's basically what Bale was last year, isn't he? A midfielder getting 4 pts for a cleanie as well as assists and bonuses.

Sounds like I'd like me some of that, especially at £4.7m! I like Coleman at £4.4m too.

Bent's a great shout, but the paradoxical issue I have with him is that he can score against any opposition. Hence you can't just bring him in/on vs weaker opponents, you've got to have him playing every week. That unpredictability just turns me off, although you could safely predict that playing him every week he'll get you loads of points...

I like Bent. You put him in, you leave him well alone and you're guaranteed regular points. I'm keeping him unless hes out injured for a couple of weeks.

Person in 2nd place in my main league has had him in from the start. He just consistantly gets points.

If I was to replace Carroll, he would be the person I'd shift in.

Drogs/Bent/Tevez Combo for the season = Bang Tidy.

Agreed. Dont go mad in trying to get him in. But have him as your first choice when you need to change.

Whoes likely to get more goals/assists this season - Nolan or Petrov? I've got them both but want to swap one for VDV.

Nolan on pens, but if M. Petrov now back to form I'd have him on form not far off VDV imo:) So that proberbly hasn't helped at all really.
