    possible injury for odemwingie?
Chelsea’s John Mikel Obi, Peter Odemwinigie of West Brom and Dickson Etuhu of Fulham had all dropped out due to injuries.

Morning everyone, think I would like to bring Fabs back in soon as. Best way possible?

    Foster (Carson)
    Cole/Gohouri/P Jones/Shawx/Enrique
    Malouda/Bale/Yaya/Barton/Nani
    Carroll/Drogs/Torres

Thinking Yaya to Fabs and then Torres to a.n. other, potentially elmander but would love to hear the thoughts of others. 2.1 in bank

I would fix the defense first before jumping on Fab's wagon. He might need at least a week to get back into his form. I see you need some transfers to strengthen ur defense.

I know, only the one transfer available. Have had a really poor few weeks after a good start. No clear strategy at the moment. Whats your thought on the defence then? Hits required?

Who will score more this week:

    1) Hart/A. Cole/Bale

    2) Krul/Muhammadi/Fabregas

    Thanks everyone.

    Hi

My priority might be 3 injuries at the back. Is O'Shea the best choice over the next 6 weeks?

Btw, I'd like to get Fabs in while keeping the team strong.
Can anyone suggest the best possible way?

    Hart (Robinson)
    Sagna/Alex/Baptiste/Toure/Alcaraz
    Nani/VDV/Malouda/Etherington/Albrighton
    Drogba/Tevez/Odemwingie

Considering to degrade DF & GK or replace Tevez with a cheaper FW.

    Your thoughts would be appreciate.
    Thanks

      Defense is way too heavy.

Hart and Robinson is too much to spend on goalies. If you want to keep Hart, you're going to want to play him every game, so you don't need another good goalie. Get a cheap 4.0.

Defense is also far too expensive. Sagna is downgradeable to Elmohamady (who is a steal as an OoP defender for a mid-table team). In fact, you could also do away with Toure, seeing as you have Hart as goalie. Get O'Shea if you insist on having a good defense. Alex you can hold onto as well, seeing as he may come back for the Wolves game.

In any case, you should aim to downgrade your defense enough to do Malouda > Fabregas. The other midfielders are valuable, and unless you crop your defense drastically, you won't be able to do Etherington > Fabregas, so this would be your best route.

I wouldn't touch the strikers. Tevez is world class, and has a scoring average rivalling Drogba's. Any player you replace him with won't be able to compete.

        Cheap 4.0m goalie = Krul.

Agree that defence needs to be downgraded, O'Shea is a more than adequade replacement for one of Alex/Toure.

Don't agree that Tevez has a scoring average rivalling Drogba's. There's lots of quality in the 8m bracket in the striker bin, including Chamakh & Bent.

Hi Camzy. Thank you very much for great advices !!!

Downgrading GK and DF would surely a way to go.

        Thanks again.. 🙂

    Hi All.
I'm on WC at the moment and have the following side.
Would apprecaite any advice to improve.

    Foster/Krul
    Toure/Samba/Elmo/Alcaraz/Jara
    Malouda/Nani(c)/VDV/Arteta/Barton
    Drogba/Tevez/Odemwingie
    0.2 in bank

    Thinking Toure>Boetang and Samba>Salcido to save 0.5
Looking to get in Fabs for GW10 with 2 free transfers after GW9. Could fund this through downgrading Tevez>RVP or reducing the defence further.
Does this look like a good strategy?

    Cheers

Toure > Boatang - a bit early for assuming that Boatang is a locked in starter isn't it? I'd wait a few weeks and see how he settles in first. There's been a few hot tips to have failed so far this season (Zigic, Boselli to name a couple).

If you're looking for a solid mid-price option to go alongside Salcido then Distin from Everton would save you even more coin at just 5.4m.

Thanks JonathanNZ, I will have a good look at Distin.

Would you keep Samba or go Salcido? Samba has SUND at home then a couple of tricky fixtures after.

    How's your team going?

    Cheers

As you can see, I reckon Salcido. But note that Samaba is now up to 5.1m, which is 0.1m you probably won't get if you had him from the outset.

I'm also on a WC and would love some suggestions to my team

    Foster/Krul (natch)
    Jags, Shawcross, Salcido, Dann, Elmo
    Malouda, Nani, VDV, Etheringon, Adam
    Drogba, Bent, Elmander

    Got 2.7m in the bank

My key areas of concern are:
    1) Is Jags injured enough to warrant a replacement (e.g. Distin, Vidic)
    2) Is Stoke's fixture list enough of an issue that I should replace Shawcross (e.g. with Jara) or Etherington (e.g. Nolan, Arteta, Dempsey)?
    3) Elmander or Carroll?
    4) Is Bent fixture-proof, or should I get both of those in #3?

I reckon out with Shawcross due to Stoke's fixtures coming up. There's better value around that price range, i.e Newcastle defenders. Just means you could be doubling up in defence with BIR and NEW.
Ethers is OK due to being on set pieces.
    Not sure on Jags.
Elmander has good fixtures coming up but then again so does Caroll. Toss a coin on that one.
In my opinion you should look at getting in two gun strikers or either Fabs in your midfield.
Is Bent injured with a groin anyway?
Team otherwise pretty good. Still have plenty of time to mull over it until lockout!

I'm unsure what the latest is on Bent's injury.

Do you think having two Newcastle is better than one newcastle & one WBA? WB have been pretty solid so far, with 6 goals in the last 6 games since that 6-0 mauling by Chelsea. But Newcastle have let in 10 in total, so all much of a muchness I suppose. The person is competing with Everton, Sunderland, Birmingham and Fulham options so hopefully won't be needed on a regular basis (3-4-3 or 3-5-2 has to be the way to go!)

morning gents. I have big fat problems with my defence with both Alex and Konchesky currently out. I have already used my one free transfer to ditch Gerrard for Fabs. I have 0.2 in the bank.

Current team for the weekend is -

    Hahnemann (Foster)
Elmohamady, Williamson, Tamas (Alex & Konchesky)
    Fabs, Malouda, Nani, Toure (Bale)
    Drogba, Carroll, Berbatov

The only realistic defensive transfer I think I can make is Alex for O'Shea, which will cost me 4 points and eat into my spare 0.2 when Alex is back, assuming no further price rises on him, which is unlikely.

Worth it or stick with the 3 defenders I already have?

    cheers
