The eighth gameweek of the season is brought to a close tonight at Ewood Park, as Blackburn Rovers host Sunderland.

The visitors are bolstered by the availability of their star striker Darren Bent, and out-of-position fantasy favourite Ahmed Elmohamady also starts to the relief of many. Elsewhere, there is only one change from the side that held Manchester United before the international break, as Danny Welbeck comes in for Boudewijn Zenden after not being eligible against his parent club.

The home side make two changes from their previous league outing at the Britannia Stadium, with Martin Olsson and Nikola Kalinic replacing Ryan Nelson and Mame Biram Diouf.

  Not having Nani & Tevez in FPL cost me dearly (as did forgetting to swap captaincy from Drogba). Mummy and Robinson almost rescued me and at least at 10,265 i am at my highest ever ranking.

Worth transferring Samba > Coleman? It would effectively be a 4 pt hit, since I'll probably get Cesc in next week.

    He has better games than Rovers do, and Everton haven't conceded a goal in 3 games and none when he's played.
    
    Making the move now would save me some money too, because Samba will inevitably drop, and Coleman is due a rise.

    I was winning by a few pts. He had Robinson to come and I had Samba and Elmo. Now Robinson managed the 3 bonus (10 all up and my opponent had him) and samba -2 sinking me by 4. Maybe just maybe he made 2 transfers but i doubt it. Too much firepower on the bench this week.

        Ever since Mario Gomez stepped on his foot last March he's had nothing but problems. He will play his way out of the slump I'm sure, and patch up his differences with SAF. No idea about his marriage, in fact no one knows because nothing has become public since the affair.

        Er nah, VdV is basically Berba minus a few years. Saw that Utd haven't feilded the same team twice in a row now for 60 games or something silly. Could do with knowing what our 1st 11 is I reckon. Also, still not keen on the fact berba basically forces the 442, even though he's playing well.

        I thibk part of the reason for such a changeable eleven (apart from injuries) is that with hargreaves injured our midfield isn't balanced enough to play both in attack mode at old trafford against weaker sides and to also then go play away against stronger teams with more ambition going forward...

  First id wait until friday to see if you can find out whether droga is playing as Ancelotti may announce his team.
  Personally I think Fabregas is close to essential especially with his upcoming fixtures so id definatley try squeez him in .
  Its tricky cause you need chelsea players for this weeks fixture but arsenal for the following week so maybe, berbatov to drogba this week and arshavin to fabregas next week if you can afford it would be my suggestion

        Goals from Samba (*shakes fists at the oafish w*nker) and Koscielny have slightly made up for it, but other than that it's been a disaster. Especially annoying because I've been trying to play the fixtures carefully as well..
        
        At home to Wigan seems to always result in a 1 pointer these days, not a banker 6. The clever Jara/Enrique plan has been an absolute (Titus) shambles.

        elmo is becoming a pain. i can't see where any competition for that right mid spot is going to come from. may have to get him. he didn't really impress me tonight, but the sunderland defence did (ironically as i think turner is terrible normally) so that will help his cause a lot.

        Yeah, and I refuse to get him until GW14 when fixture-wise, it makes sense to get him, but I'll be paying 5.3 or something ridiculous at this rate.
        
        And it's not like he's getting deserved points either due to him playing OOP, just the one assist so far. He keeps getting 'free' cleanies due to the guys behind him.

        I still don't think that my defence is a mess... I've got decent players from teams that keep it tight at the back (Fulham, B'Burn, Newcastle and Chelsea) and their fixtures match up well... I blame absolutely terrible luck!

Is anyone still playing that 'I Know The Score' game?

For some reason I am, and I scored -45 for this week, (after trbling on Newcastle to beat Wigan), and this has left me on -105 points overall. I'm doing shite at FPL too.

I really don't think that I know anything about football now, and probably shouldn't give anymore 'advice' on here... 🙁
