While Charles N’Zogbia gets all the attention from the Fantasy Premier League Bonus Point decision makers, he will go on attracting the interest of Fantasy Managers. The Frenchman takes his place in my Picks this week, but for a while I was deliberating taking a gamble on Wigan’s Spanish playmaker Jordi Gomez.

A firm favourite of Roberto Martinez, Gomez has established himself in the support role playing off the lone striker in recent weeks and our Members’ Opta stats tables show that he’s taken his opportunity. Gomez is firing in shots, playing his part at set-plays and generally having a significant influence on Wigan’s attacking ploys.

A home fixture with Bolton this weekend offers Roberto Martinez’ side further opportunity to make strides. If we see goals at the DW Stadium, then N’Zogbia will likely have a hand in one or two but I also suspect that Gomez will get in on the act. At 4.8 he offers a budget prospect and with just a fraction of FPL owners, Gomez is the definition of a differential.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    I have a feeling and hope that Odemwingie will start against Fulham and be benched at about 65-70 minutes. That will be enough for him to earn a goal or an assist and one or two bonus points. Otherwise the things will be strange as far as my starting eleven are concerned.

    Well I took Malouda out to fund Tevez coming in.

    I decided that either Pompey will survive and I won't care that he's banged in a hat trick or Pompey won't survive and I'll simply forget about football forever.

    Either way I don't really give a flying one.

      wow, you seriously have Joe Cole? No reason to sell Evra, I suggest a change in forwards and midfield. I think Carroll and Cole out, get Drogba/Chamakh and Brunt/Adam etc. Then think about Fabs next week

        This is the first week where I've been spoilt for choice. On reflection, dropping Ferguson of Brum and Dempsey makes sense.
        Its who to drop from Elmander, O'Shea, Konchesky or Jara.
        Think I'm leaning to Jara, but it could easily be 0-0.

    I see him as a 'cheaper' nailed on starter week in week out as opposed to Bosingwa's rotation risk.

      Ivanovic himself will be a rotation risk once Bosingwa and Alex are back. Alex is a better CB and Bosingwa is a better RB, after all.

      I personally like the look of Varney. He plays really well even against stronger sides. If only he was a sure starter then i'd go with him. Otherwise Odemwingie but a lot of people have him or will get him soon.

        I'd go C
        Just think of potential.
        Jara will score 6 at the MOST, while Dempsey or Carroll could go off this week

        That's how I try to think when I have a dilemma.
