While Charles N’Zogbia gets all the attention from the Fantasy Premier League Bonus Point decision makers, he will go on attracting the interest of Fantasy Managers. The Frenchman takes his place in my Picks this week, but for a while I was deliberating taking a gamble on Wigan’s Spanish playmaker Jordi Gomez.

A firm favourite of Roberto Martinez, Gomez has established himself in the support role playing off the lone striker in recent weeks and our Members’ Opta stats tables show that he’s taken his opportunity. Gomez is firing in shots, playing his part at set-plays and generally having a significant influence on Wigan’s attacking ploys.

A home fixture with Bolton this weekend offers Roberto Martinez’ side further opportunity to make strides. If we see goals at the DW Stadium, then N’Zogbia will likely have a hand in one or two but I also suspect that Gomez will get in on the act. At 4.8 he offers a budget prospect and with just a fraction of FPL owners, Gomez is the definition of a differential.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    only managed to play 9 players last week and it looks like i have only got 2 defenders this week. have already taken 4 point hit to get vdv and coleman. should i just play with 10 or should i gamble?

      I had same issue last week, so just done Alex -> Bosingwa (no hit) to at least have 11 eleven starters this time. Doubt it's worth it for a defender hit though.

    Bale > Adam (will be playing Dann & Foster though)
    Shawcross > Bosingwa
    Williamson > Coleman (4 point hit).

    Then Gerrard > Fabs & Malouda > Tim Cahill or Arteta next week (4 point hit). Thumbs up or thumbs down??

      Being realistic i can see both coleman and bosingwa needing to be shipped out of your team in a few weeks so im not sure about them :-/ if you dint mind making short term transfers do it though by all means. Its just not my personal style to make such transfers

        Bosingwa is the more risky of the two for me. I can see Coleman getting a good run in the team. Both attacking in every sense of the word and combined price of just £10.1m - I think I'll take the chance 🙂

      Bosingwa is to much of a risk for me at the moment. He should do well tomorrow but might not play the week after. The other 2 look good. Gerrard is going down tonight so make sure you have an extra 0.1 to get fabs. Im going to have to take a hit next week now 😐

          I want to bin either Bale or Carroll to free up some to get Bosingwa in.

          I'm a massive fan of Bale but VdV is poaching everything and Bale is suffering as a result. Bale's crosses are not getting converted consistently either. It's a difficult decision for me.

          I was very much hoping that Ancelotti had named his team and was benching Malouda. I would have kicked him out instead.

    Two free transfers for this GW. Thinkin about bringin in the real differentials.... N’Zogbia and Coleman. Kolo Toure and Arshavin are the players I’m about transfer out. I may be bringin Fabregas in for the next GW. Is there anyone else I should consider (short/medium/long or whatever term) ? Am I missing some real bargains (Bosingwa..???), must haves etc ? I could also do Malouda-> Fabs for the next GW so it’s not that important to release some money.. obv I’ll be scouting Malouda and Fabs at this GW so im not 100% sure about the next weeks transfers.
