While Charles N’Zogbia gets all the attention from the Fantasy Premier League Bonus Point decision makers, he will go on attracting the interest of Fantasy Managers. The Frenchman takes his place in my Picks this week, but for a while I was deliberating taking a gamble on Wigan’s Spanish playmaker Jordi Gomez.

A firm favourite of Roberto Martinez, Gomez has established himself in the support role playing off the lone striker in recent weeks and our Members’ Opta stats tables show that he’s taken his opportunity. Gomez is firing in shots, playing his part at set-plays and generally having a significant influence on Wigan’s attacking ploys.

A home fixture with Bolton this weekend offers Roberto Martinez’ side further opportunity to make strides. If we see goals at the DW Stadium, then N’Zogbia will likely have a hand in one or two but I also suspect that Gomez will get in on the act. At 4.8 he offers a budget prospect and with just a fraction of FPL owners, Gomez is the definition of a differential.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

need some opinion for this week selection

Hart / Robinson ---> who to play ? cs seems unlikely for both.. 🙁
    Elmo - A Cole - Alcaraz - Coleman / Baptiste
    Nani - Malouda - VDV - Etherington - Albrighton
    Drogba - Tevez - Odem

Who to play between.. Coleman at Spurs and Ether face Man U at home ?

Listen, what's all this scaremongering about Malouda not starting...

He went off early (like Kalou I know) in the midweek game. If anyone could be rested it may be Anelka who led the line by himself and played 90. This would enable both Kalou AND Malouda to start.

In any case there is a week till their next game so I fully expect their best team out tomorrow.

I know what you mean, but most top teams have rotate risk players. They have good run, he's top player and if he starts IMO will get at least 6 points.

He was rested against West Ham earlier in the season. That's what people are scared about. There is certainly precedent for it.

He played twice for France last week and twice for Chelsea over the past 7 days - Aston Villa and then in Russia. That's 4 games in 2 weeks.

He was taken off "Early" but I think in the 83rd minute or so - so not really "rested" after 55 or 60.

There is a danger, but it helps that Lampard, Benayoun and Ramires are out as well - Chelsea's options are limited. I could see Sturridge or Kalou starting over Malouda and him getting a rest, though I hope he plays and scores...

I have a similar predicament - Hart or Carson.

In these situations I usually go with a) the bookmakers (who say Carson) or b) the higher priced player - which is Hart.

A true coin flip. I've gone with Hart because if he does keep a clean sheet he'll have tons of saves points.

Exactly the same plan for me, barring injuries to Drogba or Tevez this weekend, etc.

I have Malouda at 10.1M to me and 1.7M in the bank.

        Fabregas is 11.8M.

Couldn't get any better. No transfer - 4 deduction. Amazing.

Could be wrong, but I think price drops you take the full .1 hit, unlike increses where it takes a .2 rise for you to get .1 profit. I might hedge my bet by a sneaky Gohouri (4.0; hurt and out of favor with Caldwell back)--->Danny Simpson (3.9), as that .1 is Cesc insurance.

Why are TFPL & FISO so far out on their price predictions ?

It seems that if they are injured / red flagged / low value, then they don't really have a clue:

    Alex - 88% - dropped
    Ferguson - 60ish% - dropped
    Van Persie - 60% - dropped

Have FPL mixed their formulas up a bit this season ??!! (not that I knew about either site last season!)

P.S. TFPL seem miles more reliable than FISO - yes / no ??

I can get bos for faye this week for -4, pros, hes starting, fit, and probably shud get a cleanie

or wait till next week to get bos, pros, fab may get injured and ill keep gerrard prob... get bos for free, or ill get bos for -4 next week too

so shud i risk bos now? if i do its -4 and ill have selection issues, heres my team http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j235/alsfotos/gw-9.jpg

tough one..Spurs have looked flat at CL games. But i can see a 0-0 in the WB game.

Coleman should get the nod as in the scouts picks for attacking reasons

What do u think about my team jamsiep? My transfer was: S. Davies out and Brunt in 😉

    Jaaskelainen

    Richards Ferdinand Jara

    Malouda Adam Vaart Brunt Nani

    Tevez Drogba (C)

    Foster, Caroll, Enrique, Alex..

Going to transfer Ferdinand and Malouda out for Coleman and Fabregas next week I think...

Very good apart from Richards who most likely won't play... Transfers for next week are very sensible.

      not doubling up

im having issues with chosing foster or carson

i have adam playing, so i have carson in goal...

thing is everyone has drum defender/keeper, so if brum keep a cleanie, im a bit f'd taking a chance ere :S

also would you take a hit to get bos in for this team

      http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j235/alsfotos/gw-9.jpg

faye out for bos then bench coleman... -4 pts?

thats a tough one! In all honesty it may work out to be a wash....Cleanie by Chelsea and Everton conceding one

you will have to bank on Bos picking up an assist...i would probably say no to the hit.

But I'm doubt for chance of Everton's CS at Spurs.

What'd be your pick between these two a) Alcaraz and c) Coleman ?

if you believe Carroll will start, i would certainly pick him and hope for an entertaining game with few goals to happen.

Adam is more safe way to go for 90 minutes playing and hope for bonus points.

Ancelotti has said that Bosingwa will play. However, next gameweek Alex(if fit)/Ivanovic/Bosingwa will be fighting it out for two places.

Arshavin>Nani is the safer of the two.
