Gameweek nine kicks off with Everton journeying down to London to face off against Spurs in our early kick off, and there’s a few changes afoot.

Harry Redknapp has drafted Rafael Van Der Vaart back into his team after sitting out the thrilling 4-3 defeat at Inter Milan a couple of days ago through suspension, Bale has a little petrol left to continue at left midfield while Kaboul and Palacios also drop into the starting eleven.

David Moyes sees Mikel Arteta assumedly fail his late fitness test to join Leon Osman in being replaced by Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and, returning from injury himself, Steven Pienaar. The teams in full are…

Spurs XI: Gomes; Hutton, Kaboul, Gallas, Assou-Ekotto; Lennon, Palacios, Modric, Bale; Van Der Vaart; Crouch.

Everton XI: Howard; Neville, Distin, Jagielka, Baines; Coleman, Heitinga, Pienaar, Bilyaletdinov; Cahill; Yakubu

We’ll then take in the 3pm kick-offs with the armband heavy Chelsea hosting Wolves drawing the most fantasy attention around other fixtures like West Brom versus Fulham and Sunderland versus Aston Villa, to name a couple. Rounding out our Saturday will be West Ham versus Newcastle in the late kick-off, Andy Carroll probably had to rent a car to make it down today.

The Chatroom will be open as usual throughout the day for those of you looking for interactive conversation fix.

Not on the back of SPs but yes I did get him in. I needed to make my keepers cheaper, so I can get Fab in next week.

That's why I can be against -2 points for an OG, Carson apparently makes a good save and yet poor fortune (and that's all it is, without doubt) means not only does he lose his CS but gets reprimanded for that.

    Ah well, thems the rules.

interesting perspective you bring there. in light of it, the "bigger" goalies have also become less worth, no?

I think Hart has been worth it if you had him from the start - 6M and he's now 6.6M...

On top of the league with Cech and 0.5M cheaper (from the start).

sure hart has been good. but i mean in general, as -2 points makes a larger cut in an expensive players value than a budget one.

personally ive gotten more points with two 4,5 goalies though.

Yeah, but then you should be against -3 for red cards, as sometimes a player gets one and they don't deserve it.

i reckon it isnt. he had no intention of going fo the ball. surely an og is only when you attack the ball, and mean something else. It's NOT an OG

I'd be willing to be my house on it being an OG, hence my [original] comment above. It's not about intention it's about what happened, and Carson got the touch that made it a goal when it otherwise wouldn't be, whether his fault or not (this case not at all). Own goal.

i believe the dubious goal panel judges goals on facts rather than intent. so if the ball was not going in, and carsons touch made it go in, they will rule it own goal. despite his intentions.

iave hav not seen the goal though mind you

Yup. Just setting everybody up so that he can let in a near post howler right at the end when we have no time to come-back.

Ok... I can't think of any specific examples for that particular situation. But ya...

Brunt with another assist btw. Differential bells ringing...

Boaz Myhill is worse, hence why Carson plays ahead of him for West Brom.

I don't think Carson's that bad. Rob Green is making a pretty good case to be the league's worst number 1. He's been shocking for about a year now.

Annoyingly a rival has Carson, Mignolet and Elmo.

Now I would have thought he would have gone with Elmo and Carson to spread the risk a bit, but no, he has gone for both Sunderland players so is spared the OG.
