The captain’s poll this week is fairly indicative of one key decision that needs making ahead of Gameweek 10, and something which we will be covering in more detail as the day rolls on. Let’s take a quick wander through how it is shaping up so far…

Cesc Fabregas
Arsenal Captain. Penalty taker (we think). Bonus Point Hogger. Nobel Prize Winner. He’s just about got it all, and he’s also got a march on all the competition at the forefront of captain’s poll this week with 59% of votes so far. All of the aforementioned, tied in with a home fixtures against West Ham (bottom of the table and having just played 120 minutes of Carling Cup action), are all simple indications as to why Cesc is ahead, and well ahead at that; he’s a fantasy thoroughbred. For the views of a select bunch of Scouts on the Spaniard, keep your eyes peeled on the site a little later today.

Samir Nasri
Arsenal midfielder. Back-up penalty taker (we think). Recent friend of the Bonus point judges. Fifth grade spelling competition winner. He’s beginning to live up to his “new Zidane” billing, and for those Fantasy Managers seemingly shy of the money, is representing the next best option in the captains trail ahead of the Gameweek. The Frenchman’s selection as “the next best option” makes it clear that Arsenal are the forefront of most people looking to captain this week with his 15% (along with Chamakh and Nasri too) meaning the team as a whole claim 77% approval.

The rest…
There’s not much meat left on the bone after the Arsenal contingent are taken out of the equation, but a handful of Fantasy Managers do seem set on looking beyond The Emirates. A paltry 7% of managers will be hoping that Didier Drogba bounces back from his irregular 2 point captain’s debacle last week; he faces Blackburn who have a tough home defence boosted by the return of Samba and Nelsen, but you can never bet against the Ivorian. Despite facing his old club, Dimitar Berbatov has only managed to sneak 1% of the vote while team-mate Nani has 2% ahead of the game versus Spurs. It’s slim pickings out there.

Which Arsenal player are you backing then? Are you one of the select few not putting your faith in The Gunners? If you’ve yet to vote head back to the frontpage and do so, whilst remembering to back here and join the impending discussion on those choices made.

Good evening, I've 2 transfers this week but already done Gerrard to Fabregas Whig seemed quite obvious. For my other I fancy gettin Hernandez in for either obenwingiethingy or Carroll. My other striker is obviously Drogba. Who should I transfer out?

    For reference my team is:

    Foster Carson
    Jones Mohammady Bosingwa Konchesky Shawcross
    Nano Bale Fabregas Malouda Adam
    Carroll obenwingiethingy Drogba

2.5m in bank if anyone cares to make any other recommendations. I'm not keen on Shawcross and konchesky at the moment but want Hernandez for next few weeks.

Right, this is doing my barnet in.

      Little pea or Chamakh?

Im dropping Tevez, just for this week 10.9 (as i want him back to face Man U next week) but who do i bring in Chamakh or hernandez for this week?

I can't belive this question has not come up more tonight? Fab or Nasri is a defo, but which of these two strikers? The pea is in form, but Chamakh has west ham at home? The pea will probably play 80+ minutes, but Chamakh, will more than likely get subbed after 65 minutes as the Arse will be 3-4 up by then and Bendtner will come on, will Chamakh have scored by then?

which striker do i bring in for a week?

So the Guardian's squad sheets has Bosingwa starting. Good sign or are the fools at the Guardian wrong yet again?!

I'm sticking with the Arsenal situation for my captaincy, although have opted for Arshavin. Always in for a shout with bonus points and he's due a goal in the PL. I think Gutierrez for Newcastle could be a good shout, this kind of derby match should see him outshine in what will probably be a scrappy game on the whole.

In total lack of Arses in my team, I'm considering giving the C to Brunt this GW. What do you experts say about that? Who would you choose, given this team?

    Mignolet
    Mummy - Bosingwa - Coleman
    Nani - VdV - Brunt - Adam - Malouda
    Berbatov - Drogba

    Bench: Tevez, Konchesky, P. Jones

Is it 'essential' to have Fabregas this week? At the price of losing Malouda and getting a 4-point hit? Wouldn't Nasri be enough (Essien OUT - Nasri IN).

    Current team
    Robinson (Stockdale)
    Elmo Alex Williamson (Stam, Dann)
Malouda Nani Nzog Davies Arshavin (c)
    Drogba Carroll (Tevez)

Tevez and Malouda both purchased at rock bottom price. £1.5mil in the bank. Seriously this is killing me but only one transfer - what would you do?
    a) Fabianski>Stockdale
    b) Stam>Coleman
    c) Tevez+Davies>Dembele+Fabregas (4point)
    d) Do nothing, sit tight and hope Arshavin does the business before another week of procrastination and indecision about how to get Cesc in!!!

    Advice please

    Krul or Foster

    Elmander or Bosingwa

Not sure Bosingwa will start and if he doesnt he’ll probably come off the bench for a point.

    Cheers.
