A day later than promised (just double-checking there were no discrepancies with JohnSteed01’s GW9 score), the third round draw for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup III, sponsored by Paddy Power, has been made. The 64 ties, that will be played over GW10, can be viewed right here, and for a brief round-up of some of the fixtures read on…

The first match-up out of the hat is arguably the headline act, as Don Corleone faces Anorak. Filling the undercard is Dbronaldo‘s game against atx1303 (who boasts an extremely impressive history), Daniel.mf Vs. Bigstevehoward, and a few others.

I had best mention bill badger‘s match-up against Bigmidders, after bill badger has seemingly accrued somewhat of a cult following on the site, and his followers will be eager to know of his opponent.

Last week’s top-scorer The Plutocrat has a very winnable tie against guillermo, who currently sits 168,115th in the world. The first round top-scorer beeduybe is still in the competition and takes on a confident gooner dave, after his win over jms in round two.

Our former-champion watch, which has halved in size since last week, sees FFS Cup I champ donnellyc take on kings of kafirstan.

Another dwindling feature of this round-up, is the look at the fortunes of the site contributors. The sole representative, Granville, has been drawn against dinglea.

Good luck to all the 128 fantasy managers battling it out this weekend in the third round, and I’ll bring you the results on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Any thoughts on this lineup for this week chaps? - who to bring in in place of Tevez? Chamakh or Adebayor?

    Foster (Robinson)
    Elmo//Faye//Bosingwa (Dann,Figueroa)
    Nani//Malouda//Etherington//Yaya (Ferguson)
    Berbatov//Drogba//Chamakh or Adebayor

Am also tempted to take out Yaya and bring in Nasri on a 4 point hit, but I hate taking those hits... They never seem to pay off. Or do they?

i'd be tempted by adebayor, but he's such a d*ck that if he didn't do anything i'd be really really annoyed at myself.

Nasri this week could prove worth it. No need to be afraid of points hits. Think of the potential returns.

I have Adam, Nani and Nasri - and I have to play all them...could I have VDV and play just 1 up front ? No...as I have Berb - Drogba - Carroll...

So - bottom line is....is it worth the risk of VDV instead of Malouda ?

It's quite a pickle I no, I wouldn't no who to drop either, I do think people expect Blackpo to do a number on WBA but I'm not really sure why, how much better do they have to play before people I've them credit? Look what they did at the Emirates and Old Trafford I would not be shocked at all if they won and kept a clean sheet at Blackpool but I understand why u wanna play Adam, stick with what u have.

Just done Tevez>Chamakh for a 4 point hit. Found out the person 2nd in my minileague under me put him in so I couldn't resist!

rationally, what the chances of tevez playing against west brom though if everyone's been constantly banging on about rest etc when he's got the manchester derby 3 days later? I don't think he will.

plus some guy on here last nite said he had insider knowledge and said tevez was out for a month!!! now i don't beleieve that necessarily but not making me more confident either.

    Any thoughts on the matter?

elmander looks a great choice, i think my cheapie will be odemwingie though purely so i can invest that 0.7, 0.8 elsewhere.

that could be bosingwa for a sh*t defender! 🙂

i've decided to keep Tevez. Dont want to take the hit...esp as i'll want him back in a few weeks anyway. As someone mentioned earlier, there are going to be injuries etc to deal with for the 2 games in a few days that's coming up.

I hope Bendtner plays a good portion of the WHU game...with champs league next week im hoping that at 2-0 up, Bendy will come on. RVP on his way back as well

Who takes Man United penalties these days? Nani?

Spurs ALWAYS give away penatlies at Old Trafford (2 last year), mark my words it will happen again this week im sure

Rooney when he is in the team. But then Nani I think, but they haven't had one since Fulham where Nani took one and missed. If Nani is on pens then I would love 2 penos for each team. VDV and Nani 🙂

thanks greg, yes i forgot that Nani missed one.

Who else would relastically take one? Berba I suppose? I think it would be Nani anyway

I am thinking of captaining Nani this weekend, Man U v Spurs is often a high scoring game, Spurs will go there too attack, and are light on defence anyway.

I can see West Ham parking the bus against Le'Arse

Apparently Berba took one in the Fa/Carling Cup final shootout and missed. I have never seen him take one....

I see West Ham parking the bus, like any team. But our defence is very poor.... So I see a 3/4-1, I think we'll knick a goal.......

          (C) Nani isn't a bad idea but If you have Fabs I think its got to be him. West Ham gave away a peno at the Emirates last season by the way....

well this is the only question i have been asking this week, and no one has been a ble to convince me, if they just gave me a simple honest yes or no i wouldnt bother. everyone else here asks questions and i answer them simply, but no one does the same for me apart from Goose - Bringing Cescy Back did just now.

Sorry taz but I suggested you wait for Wengers talk then make the decision, other than that I suggested Fabianski based on his form and Arsenals next 2 fixtures. I am so sorry that was not a simple enough suggestion for you.

    Guys,

    Johann Djourou...

Am I alone in being extremely impressed with him in both the Man City & Newcastle games (both resulting in clean sheets).

At 4.3 in FPL are people really convinced that both Koscielny and Squillaci will come straight back in ahead of him at centre back?

I believe that there is a chance that he would retain his place ON FORM, until Tommy V came back. This would hopefully at least cover the next couple of home games. Worth a punt?

    Cheers,

    J

No glamour tie for me, boring. I think I could be going out though, he has 3 evertonians (Arteta Baines and Coleman) I have Coleman but still.....

      http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/eventhist.mc?id=40418&event=9

I don't have a clue what his transfer could be, I am hoping it isn't Fabs. That way my Fabs (C) could just win the tie....

Check out his history too, pretty Impressive.....
