Unfortunately for many of us out there the clocks only went back by one hour last night, and not twenty-four. There’s no chance to reverse any of those duff decisions made so fantasy managers can only move forward with an early kick-off – to prevent any of that rabble rousing malarkey – in the Birmingham derby. The teams are in and are as follows…

Aston Villa XI: Friedel; Luke Young, Dunne, Clark, Collins, Warnock; A Young, Reo-Coker, Sidwell, Downing; Heskey.
Birmingham XI: Foster; Carr, Johnson, Ridgewell, Dann;, Larsson, Gardner, Ferguson, Fahey, Hleb; Zigic

As this non-televised game draws to a close we head northward bound for another derby, this time up at St. James’ Park as the Tyne and Wear sides to pit their wits against each other. Can Steve Bruce topple the club he supports? Finally today, Bolton will be welcoming Roy Hodgson’s men to the Reebok Stadium as Liverpool look to build on their victory against Blackburn last week.

Hey, I want Nolan to take penalties in the future please! But with 2 goals in 45 minutes it's OK.

Impessive display by Newcastle, will write something on them after the match. Many quality players in there.

  This performance just really highlights how bloody retarded the Hughton sack rumours are. He's got the team functioning excellently, so long as we don't get slammed with more bad injuries I'm pretty hopeful of survival. Mid-table could/should be possible.

    Yeah I was thinking about that as I sat here all alone watching the game. Those rumours are pathetic but I keep reading them at different places.
    
    In contrary to plenty of other teams in similar situations you seem to have an idea of how to play when you have the ball, as do the other sides that were promotes this season.
    
    Tiote, Enrique, Gutierrez, Nolan, Barton and Carroll are all quality, with the first three especially impressive today and for me as I have not watched Newcastle more than 2-3 times this season.
