It’s a flip-flop and we’re not talking about our fantasy island risk footwear. Courtesy of a dream wildcard, in 3 weeks I’ve turned a significant deficit around to a 20 point lead.

Mark is miffed, he feels trapped. Malouda, his comfort blanket now resembles a strait jacket, tightening its grip on his budget as he wrestles with the consequence of finally selling him.

Listen to us as we go tête-à-tête on the subjects of buying versus selling price, profit versus points and success versus failure, or better described as Granville versus Mark 😉

Help yourself to this humdinger of an episode via this link here.

Alternatively you can stream using the player below.

NB. Addendum – The Malouda injury hadn’t been revealed to Mark at the time of this recording. Ouch

    Notes from Europe...

    1) We all have a chance of playing for Liverpool if Christian Poulsen can manage to.

    2) David N'gog has angels looking down on him. By rights, his leg should have snapped like a twig with that heinous tackle.

    3) Jonjo Shelvey confirms he was indeed the leading man in 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'.

    4) Graham Taylor has lost the remaining marbles he had left.

    5) John Henry is punching above his weight.

The day before we were due to play Norway in Oslo he changed the formation to 3 at the back. Utter lunacy. Didn't he then play Pallister at left back or something ridiculous like that.

that rumour is based on onouha playing centre back, which is a load of ballacks as every man and his dog knows john mensah will come in instead. if mensah doesn't play centre back i promise to take a 400 point hit. when mensah is fit he plays. the only exception was the newcastle game where bramble and turner had done really well the previous few games so were un-droppable. now bramble is suspended and sunderland conceeded 5 with onouha right up there as chief dildo on the day

They'll have a limited number available on launch day. Anyone interested is advised to queue up a good half hour before their local store opens. Then stampede in with the teens.

May be an idea to keep an eye on their website too. Offer may be applicable to online purchases.

the first one. and i think piquionne looks best value if you go west ham as he always plays in a central role as opposed to obinna often on the wing or cole on the edge of the sub's bench.

Really need to hear more on Nani, VDV, Malouda, Tevez before I commit to my moves.

Im tempted if I Sell Nani for 3 weeks to go it this week for one of Adam or N zogbia.

this nani might make the wolves game news is kind of annoying as he is easily droppable for the next 3 if he misses wolves. but the fear of him playing against wolves is a worry as you'd fancy double figures for nani in any home game at the moment.
i'm looking at silva as possible cheap man city coverage, but also have a plan for tevez gw13

I'd probably have Nolan over Nzogbia - I can see Newcastle outscoring Wigan by quite a lot. I've never really rated Nzog, tho, so I might be a bit biased, he seems to be a good fantasy player.

Not right at the minute. I don't actually think he represents good value at 10.8m for a team that doesn't have that many shots at goal. Silva might end up being a good buy if City start opening up a little.

massive problem for this weekend (as most of us have) -

    Foster
    Elmo, Cashley, Coleman, Evatt (Baptiste)
    VDV, Brunt, Adam (Nani, Malouda)
    Chamakh, Drogba, Carroll

are we saying that aswel as Nani and Malouda out, VDV may also be out and Elmo and Coleman rotarisks? I'm gutted having to play Evatt, but I may be facing another 3 players out?

Coleman as a rotation risk is based on a theory that Everton will play 4-4-2, now that Saha is coming back to fitness.... This is rubbish in my opinion. Everton play best in a 4-5-1 and thats almost certainly how we will start especially away from home. Moyes likes to move to 4-4-2 when we're chasing the game, so I'd expect to see Coleman drop out at 66-70 minutes if we need a goal.

The one to watch is Anichebe, he did a good job on the right before he got injured. He'll be back in 2-3 weeks along with Osman and Rodwell, so I think Coleman's time in midfield will be up then. I'd like to think he'll drop back to full back as he is so much more effective there but with Fellaini also due back in a few weeks, Neville will probably keep his spot there and Coleman will be back on the bench. He should be safe for blp BOL though.

    Concerning Malouda-gate:

This is the 1st time where I've actively played the value game as I found FISO and this gaff towards the end of last season. I currently have a team value of 105.1 whereas I amassed a total of 104 (off the top of my head) for the whole of last season.

However, I fear I've fallen into the trap (and I'm sure many others have as well) of worrying about potential loss of overall value of my squad over playing the right players at the right fixtures.

So kudos to both Mark and Granville for having that debate because my stance towards is now that I accept that the money aspect will always have a factor in how you play the game, but I'm not gonna worry about it as much for a while.

FFS'ers; despite all the injury drama, dont take a hit if at all possible, and even save your transfer for the short GW. Chance to get one over the pretenders, i.e. our mini league rivals that refuse to go away even at this early stage!!! Come tmw and Sat morn, there'll be a flurry of panic, hits and bad calls!! Keep your heads!!

No way. I got him in last week. Of course I was disapointed he didn't do anything and I don't even rate him as a player at all.

But still, Arsenal have a really good fixture. I would say no one should sell a fit player this week. If you don't have any injuries save your transfer.

So Bale getting 6k transfers in means people actually follow football and know he did well yesterday. How come VdV also have 6k transfers in?

Alot of people seems to blindly trust FPL when it comes to injuries. Some of my rivals complain alot when they buy a player and it turns out he was injured. Blaming FPL for it.
