The build-up to this weekend’s action has been like the annual Fantasy Football Hokey Cokey, and trying to pin down players to select as a result has evidently not been the easiest. Malouda is in, Malouda is out, Malouda is in again; rinse and repeat for the likes of Nani and Van Der Vaart and the head starts spinning.

Despite these murky waters, we’ve done our best to once again find six picks that we feel are set for a decent scoring week over in the Metro Fantasy Football sphere. Participants in that game can now take a look at our “Bankers” and “Punts” for the week ahead…

Choosing a “Banker” this week evidently became an easier affair than many other weeks, with options a tad sparser than normal, but there were still a few other players who can be deemed unfortunate to miss out.

On the back of his Europa League hat-trick, Steven Gerrard could well prove a decent selection, despite facing league leaders Chelsea, as he’ll hoover up bags of Opta based bonus points on top of any goal based returns that may head his way. If Carlos Tevez is confirmed fit and ready for the trip to West Brom, it goes without saying he always stands a chance of a bounty, but with nothing definite as of yet, we deemed it too risky to stick our necks out on that one. Samir Nasri once again misses out to his skipper; if and when Cesc gets injured again the Frenchman will undoubtedly get the chance to remove his bridesmaid’s dress. Then of course there’s Didier Drogba – always about, always a threat.

Punting on a player is always a fun part of Fantasy Football and Gameweek 11 really offers the chance for Managers to spread their risk-taking wings.

Alexander Hleb faces Robert Green this week hoping that he reverts to his England form after a star performance last week. In Saturday’s early kick-off Chung-Yong Lee will probably be tasked with doubling up on Gareth Bale, but if Spurs show any sign of Champions League fatigue, he could find a few holes in-between the Welshman and Assou-Ekotto. At the Cottage, Aston Villa may struggle without a first choice striker but if they do break the home defence, the creative spark will likely come from Ashley Young. In the same match, Fulham’s Mousa Dembele is also worth a look – he returned outstanding stats last weekend in the win over Wigan, despite Clint Dempsey stealing the plaudits with a brace.

Check out the six players that we thought were just that little bit better than those mentioned above here.

Not at all. That was literally the worst case scenario, if we knicked a point I would have been happy but obviously we didn't, I would rather have lost 3-0 in a not so tight game with A Fabs Hat-trick or some sort of brace.

    Berbatov or Hernandez?

    Nasri or Fabregas?

I know Fabregas is the obvious pick but for 11.9 i’m not sure he’ll be worth it for the weakening that’ll need doing in other areas.

    Malouda Fabregas(C) Bale Adam
    Carroll Elmander Drogba

    Sorry, repost:

    ok, here’s a thought:

Nani is dropping. If he drops tonight, and then by another 0.1 I’ll be back to where I started.

If I buy Cahill for him tonight, that will net me another 0.1, and I’ll be able to field a slightly stronger side. At the moment Nani is in my team. If Cahill performs, and manages to go up by another 0.1, I should be able to buy Nani back after making a small profit and a 4pt hit.

What do you say? Worth it?

I say possibly but the only problem is you're already committed to another transfer of getting nani back in. it could end up costing you more than the 4 points if anything else goes wrong with your team

Well I was just thinking, if Jews don't eat pork, and Hindu's don't eat beef, if we have say Christians not eating fish and Sheiks not eating chicken, then it balances out a bit. Chicken and fish get kind of a raw deal.

i dont think it's worth it in my opinion. (i've got the same option). Reasons:
      1) risk Nani wont drop enough/Cahill wont rise- then it's another re-work for your team. Esp as next game after sat is weds and so mass hoards wont have chance to sell Nani after realising he's missed the wolves game
      2) everyone's squad is going to need some work over the next week or two (3 quick games etc) -by doing a quick in and out trade you're restricting your ability to make other changes without points hits

So I did, and well literally 2 minutes after, news came out that he was injured How annoyed was I, that was an 8 point hit in total because of that.

And no AB I haven't got Obinna in yet (Reply to earlier post). Why do you ask?

No one up top action from the Mancs? Maybe even Berbs and a first start for Bebe. Fergie needs to prove a point with him.

bebe started champions league ,point proved no need to over do it by giving him two in a row and leaving chicharito out two in a row

as its wolves ,no need to go 4-5-1

all the evidence points to chicharito starting
and probably lasting the 90, as bebe is a winger , and will probably replace obertan

I would if u dont have enough, its really only a 2 point hit (if he plays 90 mins + no bookings etc) Its worth the risk IMO especially with a good chance of a cleainie.

Konch, ShawX, Cleverly - is that right order for those subs? the rest of the team is

    Robinson (Carson)
    O'shea, Dann, Elmo
    Malouda, Fabs (c), Bale, N'Zog
    Carroll, Berb, Drogba

Am i going heart over head with Konch first off the bench?

    Is Fabregas really worth getting?

Using my wildcard. Swapping him for Malouda, but 11.9 is a bit steep when other Arsenal midfielders are cheaper and likely to get points as well.

    Also,

    Bent & Tevez > Drogba & Hernandez?

Many will disagree but i don't think he is,i've been tempted but think,as you say, there's many Arsenal players who will get points,i've had Nasri and he's been immense.

And yes,Drogba will bang a few in this weekend as will Hernandez!

Ok, so we all know who we don't want for the next few weeks.

But who do we want for the next three GW's?? I personally want Arteta, he is the main man that I want. Also I want a West Ham striker. Obinna, so will be getting them in. But just realised that I can take an 8 point hit as my H2H opponent has done so. Who would people look to get in?

Avoid any West Ham players at all cost, seriously the worse team in the league with the worse manager. West Ham are as good as relegated. Please don't transfer any in.

At least we are performing to "our" standards, where as Liverpool well ermm are shite, but no your a really big club.

Fully agree that we are the worst team in the league but as a West Ham fan I have to sort of well, with fixtures like that, any other team I would be all over them.

I have the same issue. For me it's a hit to do nani to someone else and Nani could be back in a wk.... so as sad as I am to do it Barton plays v Arsenal...2pt....outside chance of 5pt....similar outside chance that he gets booked twice...he looked pretty scary against them in the carling cup.
