The build-up to this weekend’s action has been like the annual Fantasy Football Hokey Cokey, and trying to pin down players to select as a result has evidently not been the easiest. Malouda is in, Malouda is out, Malouda is in again; rinse and repeat for the likes of Nani and Van Der Vaart and the head starts spinning.

Despite these murky waters, we’ve done our best to once again find six picks that we feel are set for a decent scoring week over in the Metro Fantasy Football sphere. Participants in that game can now take a look at our “Bankers” and “Punts” for the week ahead…

Choosing a “Banker” this week evidently became an easier affair than many other weeks, with options a tad sparser than normal, but there were still a few other players who can be deemed unfortunate to miss out.

On the back of his Europa League hat-trick, Steven Gerrard could well prove a decent selection, despite facing league leaders Chelsea, as he’ll hoover up bags of Opta based bonus points on top of any goal based returns that may head his way. If Carlos Tevez is confirmed fit and ready for the trip to West Brom, it goes without saying he always stands a chance of a bounty, but with nothing definite as of yet, we deemed it too risky to stick our necks out on that one. Samir Nasri once again misses out to his skipper; if and when Cesc gets injured again the Frenchman will undoubtedly get the chance to remove his bridesmaid’s dress. Then of course there’s Didier Drogba – always about, always a threat.

Punting on a player is always a fun part of Fantasy Football and Gameweek 11 really offers the chance for Managers to spread their risk-taking wings.

Alexander Hleb faces Robert Green this week hoping that he reverts to his England form after a star performance last week. In Saturday’s early kick-off Chung-Yong Lee will probably be tasked with doubling up on Gareth Bale, but if Spurs show any sign of Champions League fatigue, he could find a few holes in-between the Welshman and Assou-Ekotto. At the Cottage, Aston Villa may struggle without a first choice striker but if they do break the home defence, the creative spark will likely come from Ashley Young. In the same match, Fulham’s Mousa Dembele is also worth a look – he returned outstanding stats last weekend in the win over Wigan, despite Clint Dempsey stealing the plaudits with a brace.

Check out the six players that we thought were just that little bit better than those mentioned above here.

Why don't you just buy Arteta now? It may be boring, but it'll save you a transfer and I'd be surprised if Park does better that Arteta this GW (or any GW).

    Fabregas (c) Malouda Adam

    i have a selection nightmare!!

    foster - carson
konchesky - jose enrique - jones - jagelika - (boswinga)
    fabs - barton - arteta - (nani - vdv)
    odemwinge - berbatov (c) - drogba

    problem i have is -

boswinga(not playing)- konchesky (playing chelsea) - enrique (playing arsenal away) - nani (injured) - vdv (injured) - odemwinge (has been ''nearly'' fit for 2weeks")

i can field 11 men but should i stick with this or take a 4 point hit and bring someone else in?

nani was brought for 7.9mil so dont wanna sell him and vdv was brought in at 7.5 so want to stick with him as well

Someone convince me I'm doing the right thing. Can currently field a midfield 4 of Fabregas, Bale, Malouda and Yaya Toure (with Nani on the bench). Itching to do Nani -> Arteta for the short term, but with all these injuries flying around I should just save my transfer and sit tight, right?

      Sit on it.

I only made the transfer because I might not be able to field 11 this week.

So my predicament is which wolves midfielder will get the most points between GW 13-19

    The fixtures read :

    Wolverhampton v Bolton, 15:00

    Blackpool v Wolverhampton, 15:00

    Wolverhampton v Sunderland, 15:00

    Blackburn v Wolverhampton, 15:00

    Wolverhampton v Birmingham, 13:30

    West Brom v Wolverhampton, 12:00

    Wolverhampton v Wigan, 15:00

The players up for consideration are : Milijas, Hunt and Jarvis

    Any advice appreciated ?

as i said before i am a big wolves fan and for me it would have to be jarvis. milijas has scored a goal and promised loads before only to go missing in big games. hunt is only just back from fitness and is adjusting to our formation. Jarvis has been MEGA recently. He had Wes Brown in his pocket against Man Utd in the league cup, but as usual wolves get zero press coverage, and Hernandez wsa spalshed everywhere. He is your man 100%, it is as close to a no brainer as you could get for a wolves fan

        thanks for your input...

jarvis is clearly the best player but could this be a case of modric syndrome?

great player who doesnt match his ability and performances with fantasy points?

      Nolan, Adam, Brunt, Barton, N'Zogbia.

anyone think nani is likely to drop .1? if so, i'd rather make the nani>arteta switch now than wait the next gw since my cup opponent has arteta and bring nani back in for nasri after the city derby. i bought nani for 8.7 and would sell for 8.8, so if he goes back down to 8.8 then i won't lose anything. thoughts?

      You're benching Ashley Cole?!

Bench Coleman instead, but good problem to have I suppose.

You must be one of the few people who actually has 15 available players this week!

Whose a good defender for up to 5.5m (but value for money is good) who I can put alongside Elmo, Salcido, Dann, Enrique?

I'm thinking Distin or Shawcross (good fixtures), Hutton (top team) or Knight (budget option)
