The draw for the first round of the 2019/20 FFS Cup FFS Cup

Just 16 ties to look at as the Fantasy Football Scout Cup III, sponsored by Paddy Power, goes midweek for the first time. To see exactly what the draw has thrown out, click here. As you’ll seem, there are still plenty of big names left challenging for the title…

Last week’s top-scorer Gazzamania has a tough match-up against DRP, who sits just 5 points behind him overall.

Soup or Man will be looking to continue his good form (five straight green arrows), when he takes on 100k+ ranked Back to Back Ballacks.

Another recognisable name in the fifth round is Anorak, who has his work cut out against a highly-ranked opponent olive.

After eliminating Granville, Chris81 will once again have to beat the odds to overcome top 8k ranked DaFoe22. Another Scout killer, tippman, is still in the mix and takes on Unwillingplayer.

Site favourite bill badger is a huge underdog this week, as he has been handed a tie with round three top-scorer and 12th in the world, Ann_der_roo.

Ann_der_roo is clearly the highest-ranked participant in round five, but the unfortunate title of lowest-ranked goes to Manif, who is the true underdog of the competition. Sitting at a season-best 328,067th in the world, he’ll have to continue to upset the apple cart to see off atx1303, who is ranked a good 100k+ places above him.

All fixtures are to be played over gameweek 12 (starting tonight). Good luck to all 32 fantasy managers left in the competition, and remember that a free £25 bet, courtesy of Paddy Power, is available as always to the top-scorer this round.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

Hey all, I could do with some advice on whom to play this week. Currently it's:

    Foster
    Bosingwa, Jagielka, Coleman,
    Brunt, Malouda, Arteta, Fabregas
    Drogba, Piquionne, Carroll

    Subs: Mignolet, Simpson, Elmohamady, Nasri

    Thanks in advance.

SAF has somehow spread the virus that he had to half of the Man U squad.
      Guardian web site:
"Manchester United have been hit with a virus ahead of tomorrow's Manchester derby with Patrice Evra, Nemanja Vidic, Dimitar Berbatov and Paul Scholes all believed to be amongst the victims."

Drogba has been suffering with Malaria according to Ancelotti.

That would explain why he didn't start on Sunday and may not be at full fitness against Fulham tomorrow.

Tevez against a United side that cannot keep a clean sheet (and has a virus sweeping through the camp) seems a good option. Make sure your emergency captain is value and not form!

Sorry all, but my first season and I wondered if I'm playing 3 at the back starting Alex and he doesn't play, does my auto sub still go to my first choice - a midfielder (Nasri)- despite it meaning I will only actually play 2 defenders at the back? Or does it go to the next defender on my bench instead of Nasri (so Mummy)?

    Thanks.

+1 that right ... minimum MUST have 3 defender so ...

formation could be 3-5-2 or 3-4-3

Not true. With the exception of the three defender rule, your subs will come in as you've set them up "in order".

          Correct.

If you had a 4-4-2, and your bench was like this:

          Midfielder, Defender, Striker

Then if you had a defender not play, the game would bring in the midfielder from the bench and give you a 3-5-2. It wouldn't try to preserve the 4-4-2, by skipping over the benched midfielder and bring on the benched defender instead.

I've been wondering this myself as I think I'm gona get rid of jaask for begovic as I'm happy with the rest of my team but I'm sick of my keepers and want to free up a bit of cash! All I've heard tho is someone on here say that sorenson got injured so begovic came in and then kept his place for the last game even tho sorenson was ok so I'm just going to hope he keeps his place!

Bought in Coleman and Tevez. My team is this:

    Foster, Krul
    Konchesky, Bosingwa, Coleman, Dann, Elmohamady
    Adam, Nasri, Bale, Cahill, Nani
    Drogba, Tevez, Hernandez

I'm definitely going to bench Foster and Nani. Who else should I bench along with them? Thanks for any advice!

    Is Nasri out?
